  1. "Montero likes that ball middle in" So do 90% of all hitters but thanks for pointing that out Pat.
  2. Honestly the ump shouldn't have made that call himself, it wasn't nearly obvious enough.
  3. Those are now reserved for arguing balls and strikes lol
  4. I don't think the ump ever say Barney's leg hit the base because it was blocked by Alonso's, awful call.
  5. Have you ever noticed that half of what Pat says is rhetorical? He'll point out something obvious or some fact and then he'll be like, ISN'T HE? DIDN'T HE?
  6. Lol I'm not sure but that's definitely some of the type of stuff that gets said in the booth on a regular basis. I agree with Boxy where he said Pa never actually says anything. He just reiterates the obvious over and over. I don't think he's ever given any insight or analysis. f*** at least Buck has a soothing voice.
  7. Tulo loves taking borderline pitches, it's so frustrating.
  8. HE'S A BASEBALL PLAYER God Pat is the absolute worst
  9. Holy f***, Kendrys is a clutch homer machine!
  10. I'm not defending Stroman, but he probably also thinks some of his pitches aren't missing because Martin is doing an outstanding job of framing them. Now Montero is doing the same thing, it all adds to the frustration when a borderline call which seems like it's right on the corner thanks to catcher doesn't go your way.
  11. Luis Rivera is just terrible at sending runners.
  12. In other news, the Tigers' bullpen gave up 12 runs, nine of those in the same inning. What a total shitshow.
  13. Straight center off a breaking ball. That was fun.
  14. Lol poor Morales had flashbacks as he was nearing home, you could see him slow down even more.
  15. So many double plays, ugh.
  16. It was one swing and he made contact lol. I understand your concerns but until he has a 4 strikeout game where he can't hit a breaking ball then we should remain optimistic.
  17. Billy Burns is horrendous, we might as well just trade Liriano for a pure salary dump or keep him if that's the best we can get for him.
  18. While I agree that it's a bit surprising how serviceable he became, his minor league numbers really aren't that bad. He was above average as a 22 year old in AA and league average as a 23 year old in AAA with good contact numbers, as a shortstop. While he clearly wasn't fit for the position, those kind of guys usually get a look in the big leagues; moving him off SS seems to have done him a big favour, as he's about an average to slightly below defender in other places around the diamond.
  19. Chris Mitchell seems like a real gem. I can't say I know if KATOH/KATOH+ does a good job at projecting future MLB'ers, but he seems very open to getting feedback and suggestions on how to improve his model and he explains with valid arguments why some guys may or may not appear out of place.
