    Gray isn't an ace though. It was a good trade for both sides. A's got a lot of risk coupled with upside, and traded Gray who's more good than great.

    I imagine you're going to trade someone from your infield then? You're not exactly scuffling for 3B/UTIL options.

    Mike Schmidt was a machine man, 3 MVPs, 10 Gold Gloves and 6 Silver Sluggers. He had over 100 WAR, Beltre certainly lags behind him. Arenado is good but he's highly overrated due to the Coors effect, his best season isn't even close to Machado's top 3 best.

    A-Rod played more games at shortstop than at third during his career, although he nearly had more WAR than Beltre at 3B alone lol.

    Ugh, an average start from McCullers and I would likely be in the points today, although I guess LTBF can say the same thing.

    In a lost season like this, all you can hope for is A) the young guys/prospects develop and at least we get a couple of banging games every now and then.

    Oh I know. The defensive stats didn't like him at the beginning of the year for some reason, UZR especially wasn't a fan. He's been regressing towards his career norms defensively though, DRS has him at 12 runs.
