  1. Thank you BABIP gods, you owed us one.
  2. Yeah he clearly Stanton'd that.
  3. Oh my god f*** these hits.
  4. On Gameday there's a feed option that tells you the exit velocities, not sure where to get the hit probabilities though. I wonder if Wilner and the TV/radio guys get privileged Statcast info.
  5. Teoscar is so f***ing good. He just crushes baseballs continually.
  6. We have like 4 line drives right at Aaron Hicks. Meanwhile the Yankees have a ******** homer.
  7. Lmao brutal effort by Gary Sanchez.
  8. Ugh that's a disgusting hit.
  9. Two well hit balls, both just hung up a bit too long.
  10. He could be 35 as long as he provides us with 80 WAR over the next 15 seasons.
  11. Love this for Gurriel, hate it for my man Tim Mayza but I get it.
  12. At worst the only place Grichuk is going is on the bench for like a game or two. He'll be fine, the team isn't giving up on him any time soon.
  13. I don't know man, I hear Pat Tabler has seen Teoscar walking around shirtless and it seemed to make an impression.
  14. I have zero confidence in Sanchez right now. The bats are pretty good against lefties so the CC matchup on paper is a nice one. Hopefully Estrada shows up for game 2, Stroman vs Montgomery is a clear matchup advantage and Garcia vs Severino is a nightmare.
  15. I know you're high on him, but Amir Garrett projects pretty terribly as well lol.
  16. Lol Teoscar Hernandez is the top searched name on fangraphs. Good job guys.
  17. I think the main thing you guys are missing and what makes Teoscar and Grichuk so similar is that both can absolutely crush baseballs. For both it comes at the expense of consistent contact, but clearly they're the type of guys the team loves. Teoscar hits baseballs VERY hard, he strikes out a lot but ostensibly not Joey Gallo level, walks enough to not be Kevin Pillar at the plate, is clearly a plus runner and it would be surprising if his athleticism didn't translate to average defense at least. All of those to me sound like the qualities of an at least average MLB regular, where in seasons that he can manage to cut the swing and miss rate he can be a very valuable contributor. I just don't see the argument for why they're so different, yes Grichuk has proven to be a good defender at the highest level, but it's not like Hernandez has shown that he's clueless out there. I think they're very similar players, one just happens to have a longer track record which is obviously valuable for assessing what kind of player he'll be going forward at the MLB.
  18. My god Ngoepe is terrible, even with those big ass glasses he couldn't swing at a couple of pitches clearly in the zone.
  19. Jeremy Guthrie is pretty good and Cliff Floyd is alright. The play-by-play guy is just sort of there, he's terrible.
  20. The broadcast is awful but by far the best part seems to be the lack of commercials in between innings (for now).
  21. Holy s*** Teoscar got around the bases FAST. Great start, awesome job Smoak!
