    His defense has been impeccable, he made one small blunder on what was already a tough play. His offense has obviously been very underwhelming but we shouldn't just criticize him for everything. He's made big strides on the defensive end.

    It's hard enough to watch regular hitters go up without batting gloves, but for the pitcher to do so is just extra cringy.

    I didn't feel like Thornton was missing that badly except for some fastballs which were running away from him but he just couldn't buy that low strike call. Some good pitches, will need to find more consistency next inning.

    That just means idiotic Knicks fans are all betting heavy on them to win the lottery so the books are moving the line accordingly. The obvious way for you to take advantage is to bet on any team whose odds just became more enticing as a result.

    Domingo Santana has a 132 wRC+ over 192 PAs. Fantastic right, a steal by the M's to acquire such a valuable player? Well, unfortunately he has -9 DRS and -8.7 UZR in LF, which makes him the worst defender in baseball by a mile and craters his value provided to only 0.2 WAR. Get this man out of the outfield FFS.

    Good move to let a catcher who has 4.5+ WAR each of the last 4 seasons walk, for the price of a qualifying offer? His replacements on the Dodgers have combined for half as much value as he's provided this season already, and the projections have him continuing to provide an additional 3.5 WAR RoS, which is more than Austin Barnes and Russell Martin combined.

    The Freddy Peralta experience is a bit hectic at times but god he's fun to watch when he's keeping the ball around the strikezone consistently. Few pitchers can make hitters be so late on fastballs around 90-92, although he can ramp it up to 95-96 when he needs to.

    The extra $50M while true is slightly misleading, because basically the Raptors are able to offer one extra year at a slightly higher AAV than any other team. I also am not 100% on this though.
