Navarro couldn't pull this off if the ball had been sent to the backstop.
Prior to today he was striking people out and not walking many, all while getting a lot of groundballs.
In this game he's walked 4 and struck out none, do you perhaps see the difference?
Look at Paul Konerko http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=242&position=1B
Jesus Christ that man lost a s*** ton of value on baserunning and defense!
If you can barely make it around the bases that makes you a bad baserunner, not being a guarantee to score from second on a double or go 1st to 3rd on a single the other way makes you a bad baserunner, you're not helping the team score runs.
If the pitcher is on the ropes and struggling with fastball command, he'll likely try to throw one right down the pipe, that's the pitch he looked for, and the pitch he got, unfortunately it wasn't effective, but nothing wrong with that approach.

Brutal to lose such a close game after a huge comeback, I heard from a friend who was watching at the Maple Leaf Square and even in the rain it was packed. Refs were crap again I see?
When's our next game?
