  1. Someone who does that doesn't sign up with one account. I'm sure if this is a scam he has multiple accounts that he rotates through. I tend to agree though that selling face to face / cash in hand is better for the seller, but could also be riskier for the buyer. Like I said above, the secondary market is not an official regulated market. Just like how you can't go to the cops and complain that your weed dealer shorted you on your purchase, the secondary market all comes down to trust and risk aversion/tolerance. Stubhub will provides the frameworks and mechanisms to help resolve issues for sellers, but I doubt they go the extra mile given that it's the buyers that make their business model work. Also, thanks again for the tic jaysblue! I had an awesome time, albeit sad in the end. I fully regret not going to Game 5 right now and 'saving my money' for WS tickets given I probably have no shot at them during the public sale.
  2. Secondary market ticket selling is a money grabbing business. You inherit risk on BOTH sides when you enter the secondary market. Yes it sucks but this is not the Blue Jays box office...
  3. I know I'm in the minority here but I prefer this over the other alternative. Generally buyers already have to shell out way more than face for a ticket so they should be protected at all costs. It sounds like stag got screwed and the scenario where his tickets were resold is very likely. I really hope it's resolved but it may come down to a he said / she said scenario. I hope the Jays are able to show that only one set of tickets were scanned, thus proving that the second set was never attempted and therefore how could the buyer claim he was locked out.
  4. Holy crap, that was one crazy autocorrect. But really, you get the money to dry your baby's head off from the beer. It's the only way to ensure they grow up with a full appreciation of the value of cash.
  5. Not pointing at you! it was the other guys defending coming in here with ridiculous prices.
  6. I'm sorry to hear what happened to Stangstag and I hope you are validated. I saw this clause when buying my Stubhub tickets and was ready to pull the trigger if my tickets didn't work. Secondary market... wild west... the name of the game is scam. I'd also like to echo Hurl's statement. If you want to sell your tickets for exorbitant prices, there are many other places to do it. $250 a piece for 535 row 21? Furthermore, the idea that you want to 'recoup' the costs of tickets is insulting when you sell them for 2-3x the amount. That's not just recouping the costs, that's profiting. That's making someone else pay for YOU to attend the games. If you can't afford to go to games, then either admit you are doing it for profit or don't go.
  7. Sure. Doesn't make defending them any less idiotic. Heck if this was happening in Baltimore we would be lambasting the city and fans...
  8. LOL at the few that are defending the fans for throwing s***
  9. He was in the batters box. His bat was not extended out over the plate. Martin needs to throw around.
  10. That's all on Martin. Can't be take it easy on a throw back like that. Fans embarrassing Toronto...
  11. Annnnnd Goins shut me up, awesome play! LET'S GOOOOOOOO!
  12. Beltre had to make a gold glove play to get Revere. I don't mind the attempt when you want to get Ben on for JD. Goins AB is where the frustration is... I get that D is important but we might as well be playing in the NL given our 9th spot production.
  13. Ugly. Tulo has been black hole all series outside of the one game. Would of been nice to get Goins up to setup the next inning at the top of the order.
  14. Need to put pitches on Cole. That last pitch was on Goins. Lots of time left, let's go Jays!
  15. That wasn't on Fox, that was on Rogers dumbass trying to shove hockey down our throats.
  16. lol Stroman has gotten just as many favourable calls so far as Hamels has. Difference right now is in EE's slow ass where he couldn't make it to third on the single from Cola. Otherwise the Martin fly out would of tied it up at 1.
  17. Let's go Jays! Boss here is opening up the taps and getting some munchies for us to watch the game. Working for a Sports media company is grand... In terms of the game, I agree that the Jays needs to put up a run or two early. Seems like they were squeezing their bats tightly in the previous two home games after falling behind.
  18. Was kinda hoping prices would come down a bit more but they haven't, guess I'll watch this one in the office... still a ton of tickets left with about 2 hours to go.
