Red Sox dont need Trout. Bradley is nearly as good and it's not worth giving up Bogaerts and/or Betts + Moncada/Benintendi/Espinoza to make up the difference. People might not realize the season Bogaerts is having and is still just 23.
Am I wrong? He threw something like ~90 fastballs and his command was mediocre at best. Walked 4 and could have been more if not for some generous strike calls. Not to mention his velocity was steadily decreasing. Don't think his success is sustainable only he gets his secondary pitches working but we'll see.

What does KC winning a WS have to do with the Jays and their chances of winning the division? KC basically had a free walk-in to the playoffs being in a god awful division and once you're in the playoffs anything can happen. Jays meanwhile will be in a season long battle for the AL East.
