    You'd think he'd get the start since he's the most likely to be an every day player there who could contribute. Like you said Pillar against RHP? Unless Pillar has faced this guy and hit him well in the minors what's the point?

    I never would have thought the As would have made a trade like that. They had a guy under contract who's a damn good player on a cash strapped team with offensive issues for a pitcher that they'll likely let walk because it'll be a lot to resign him. Desperation move. The Sox won the deal hands down and if they resign him it's even better.
