  1. If that's what the Jays gave up than it's not as bad as I feared.
  2. I'd hope so. Plus they wouldn't have to make a move on the 40 man roster to add them. Well, they could transfer Saunders to the 60 day since he's already been out 60 days and with Revere now on board he seems like he won't be back at all.
  3. I guess better to give him 2 weeks off and see how it responds than have him taking up a roster spot and/or trying to rush it back like last time and missing more time. We'll need him down the stretch. Goins can hold the fort at least defensively with the offense the team has, and Danny V can make some starts there. I want to see him come back, stay healthy and win the ROY award.
  4. Or Jeff Francis. *shudders* It seems like he has the utmost confidence in bother Loup and Cecil to be the LOOPS/LOOGUYS
  5. Holy s***! Another blockbuster by AA! THIS is the move of the deadline for him! Extend his stay in Toronto as GM!
  6. Still yet to be announced. I'm assuming might be physicals/medical records that are tying things up or maybe one name that is still being spoken about to complete it.

  8. With all these moves AA has made to improve the pen, rotation and add to the deadly offense we've already had this is going to be interesting. 6 games back in the division with 13 head-to-head games to go with the Yankees is going to be fun to watch. Much more likely the Jays are eyeing the Wild Card (or I should say probably easier for them to make at this point) but if the Jays can keep it close, with the games left against the Yankees this late in the year, especially some in September, it could make it a nail biting shot for the division crown. I'm getting ahead of myself a bit but certain is one hell of a deadline and is exciting, providing we're not giving up too much for Revere.
  9. I'd imagine royally pissed especially if it happened while it was being broadcast live during a cut away. Everyone watching the game can see them dropping the jersey and their heart sinking.
  10. Speaking of which, didn't he strike out bunting the last time he was supposed to bunt?
  11. I was trying to give him one optimistic part of his offense
  12. This lineup is ridiculous. You can't find an easy out anywhere. Hell, even Goins can at least take a few pitches and make you work by fouling a few off or bunting.
  13. Another shot into the stands. Homer happy crew they are tonight.
  14. See ya! Martin says I'll take a walk around the bases.
  15. If Marco can throw a few more innings like that he might stay in a bit longer.
  16. 12 straight post ASB games with a homer for a team record. Nice.
  17. Good eye, Goins. Swinging at pitches at your eyes.
  18. The wind giveth and taketh away. Saved a 3-run homer from the Royals, but then gave away the Jays two outs. Damn wind.
  19. lol! OK, I really did laugh at that one. I'll give you that.
  20. I hope AA can pull a rabbit out of his hat in the offseason and sign a starter or two maybe trade a bat for some prospects or guys with some control. Our SP depth is virtually nonexistent now and with MB, Price FAs and RAD option year without a guarantee he's brought back (though with our rotation issues he probably will be), they'll need something to help out in the event someone goes down again or isn't ready eg if Sanchez is in the rotation. I guess AA thinks there's a chance to make the PS and wants to give it a shot and/or has a plan for the offseason. I'm still in shock they pulled this off.
  21. That's the scary thing. He'll command a fair chunk of change and the Jays give up players who might not be elite of the elite but only get a rental unless maybe they convince him to take a short term deal with a larger AAV to stick around for 2-3 years but unlikely.
