    Edwin was one of the best value free agents I've seen out there in a while. He also wanted to be a Blue Jay for life. This one stings.. O sweet we get a draft pick(more pool money, could get multiple players) in the low 30's that will maybe help us in 2018?

    Well I made some room for him with the Benintendi/Piscotty trade. So highly doubtful. If he gets hurt or nicked hard in spring training, sure i'll cut him.

    Jays expect him to play 40-50 games at 1b from what I heard.

    I just worry about Pompey's approach. He gets really pull happy because he is so explosive, he was getting destroyed on the changeup. But if he just hits the fastball the other way, he could be a massive help.

    That's fine, Im not necessarily ripping the trade. But we all know that Revere trade messed up with Gibby's lineup he had in his head. Zeke played over his head x5, great production, great vibes! Ty Zeke. But I would never go into a season counting on either BJ or Zeke as sure things, that's what we're doing right now. Insure yourself with Ben Revere, who is tough nosed at the core.

    Is Ben Revere free right now? I know the org has had a big swing and hates him apparently. But to me, he's still got some juice in those legs and contact and quality ab's are real. Plus the defense is really solid in LF/CF, route running be damned.

    Probably, but they shouldn't. Remember we gave a pick and 85 million dollars to Russell Martin, he's already earned all of that digital paper in my books.

    I see problems with this logic and don't really think the front office thinks this way. Bourn cost Cleveland a 1st rounder because they thought they were getting tremendous value with the contract.

    I think he could play LF/1b/DH, not many would agree with me though. I'd like to point out that Morales is a pretty big injury risk...So securing Edwin at this price of 80 mill, would be fantastic.

    Respectful is a better word. I also don't want to see Zeke or BJ on the major league roster, this should be accomplish able.

    If Sale doesn't blow out his arm this year, the Red Sox could deal him next year and still get a hell of a package. Imo it's not reckless at all.
