    Lol this trade forces jays to have to win the division in order to avoid the athletics in playoff( obviously if they do get in). Getting in to wildcard game to me just seems like being in palliative care at hospital.

    If that is the perceived value of Headley, man his value's hit rock bottom for the amount of buzz he's got the last 2 years; although rightfully so warranted as he is hitting FA this winter.

    not trading any of Sanchez, Norris and Pompey for the sole reason of having him on for rest of the season with no possible qualifying offer. But I'd figure one of those prospects of that caliber must be going back that way, so not holding my breath.

    Phillies After 2008 when they won the WS, I started to get into this game called MLB dugout heroes, in which Hamels had the best stats so it was easiest to start with that team. So it became natural to root for Phillies, and bonus for majority of their hitters being lefty and i am too.

    This was for sure a punt in the sense to save slot money for Round11+, which is gonna happen sooner or later. If you are expecting much from this ZZ, I`d like to have some of what you are smoking.

    well, you know the longer the winning streak was gonna carry on, the deeper of a depression team/fans will fall in when it is over. Just trying to be positive here. But it sux the streak has to end in this fashion. Much prefer if they were blown out by 10 runs.

    imo, they will never trade Sanchez. He can be the only saving grace even he busts because of the mets+dickey trades. The ramification of him reaching his potential in another organization outweighs the effect of him fizzling out as a Jay. Stroman, on the other hand, I m all for trading. Still not a believer in that height.

    Disclaimer: if my opinion is flawed due to not having read through the complete information of AROD's link to Biogenesis please enlighten me. So I do see some hypocrisy in this issue. Why is A Rod given a longer ban than other players. Did they prove that he used more PED than others suspended (which I don't think is reasonable ground for longer suspension), or did he obstruct the investigation that no other did (IIRC, Ryan Braun was suspended more than 50 becuz he was found to have obstructed/lied during the investigation)? So I do think maybe yanks are pulling the strings behind the scene, which is sad. AROD definitely needs to take responsibility for what he did, but the suspension shouldn't be carried out with rather illegitimate monetary purpose if so..

    Are these kids standing 6 feet + really only 16 years old? Like srsly, as an exam, I can never grow to 6'4" (as Eloy Jimenez), never mind at that height at age of 16. It's just so unfathomable to think these minors with those kind physical build. Do dominicans have crazy tall genes or what?
