  1. Such a stupid premise. I mean, there's willing suspension of disbelief (Okay, they have artificial gravity on the Enterprise, but somehow it doesn't get through the hull or whatever...) but this movie is more along the lines of "I cannot imagine a world where a government would do something like this, my brain simply couldn't tolerate the impossibility of this situation."
  2. They've been playing that Metric song all year, the Jays have been terrible all year... There's probably a causal relationship in there somewhere.
  3. MY NAME lS MUNENORI KAWASAKI AND I DO STERRRROOOOOIIIIIDDDSSSSS!
  4. I cannot fathom the logic of giving Izturis a 3 year deal...
  5. ... You should probably just start a new account after this one. Disastrous lack of baseball knowledge shown here. You may leave your avatar behind (heh), however.
  6. Yeah, players get to make that sort of decision... He'd rather retire than play anywhere but Texas. BRILLIANT!
  7. Selig is the steroid commissioner, there's nothing he can do, and he should have retired years ago. Frankly though, given that he does pretty much nothing, I wouldn't have retired from his close to $20M salary either.
  8. I'm pretty sure the documents they have with Melky's name on them now are the reason he was suspended before... He was probably part of the reason this clinic was brought to the attention of the MLB... That being said, they're a private company and they're free to do whatever they want (provided they don't run afoul of the collective bargaining agreement.)
  9. Also, from the article: "The players who might ultimately face discipline from MLB include: Rodriguez, Braun, Cabrera, Colon, Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero, Jhonny Peralta, CesarPuello, Fernando Martinez, Everth Cabrera, Fautini de los Santos, Jordan Norberto, and a number of players who are either identified by code names or whose names appear in other documents not obtained by "Outside the Lines." All are currently on major-league rosters but for Puello, a top outfield prospect for the New York Mets who is playing in Class AA Binghamton."
  10. This is the same clinic that Melky got busted using, so he's probably already served his suspension, as far as it relates to this bust.
  11. Pitcher, I needs me 20 points to catch up
  12. They're making it harder and harder to defend the "human element", hopefully more and more people start to demand replays and computerized strike zones, these guys are getting worse at their jobs every single year.
  13. Well, if he'd traded them for like... Lester and Kershaw or something...
  14. His value was more than a terrible relief pitcher...
  15. Mine involves a time machine and literally gallons of scotch.
  16. Why is Rasmus (8 HRs) worth fewer points than JP (12 HR)?
  17. 6.89 ERA, 1.85 WHIP, 15/11 K/BB, .281 BAA <-- Lincoln's numbers this year (yes, not great stats, but y'know). Snider has more value than Lincoln.
  18. I think the trade was dumb, trading almost anything for relief arms is a stupid decision (Snider for Lincoln falls into this category as well), but implying that Gomes is a .930 OPS player is kinda retarded.
  19. Rasmus, though I reserve the right to change my mind if he's not in the starting line-up.
  20. I don't know if anyone else is listening to the radio broadcast, but seriously, they're advertising a website that is, I s*** you not, darnthosedifficultpeople.com. Yes... Darn them all to heck!
