Of course, with the shitweasels in congress down there, they could never pass that 1-2% tax for health care for all, that's clearly what they SHOULD have done, but that s*** would never get through their political system... The government really hasn't taken control of the health care industry, they've just put some regulations on them (no lifetime caps, you have to insure everyone, you can't offer really s***** plans, no pre-existing condition stuff...) the companies are still autonomous and they still rake in ridiculous profits on a system that really should not be in the hands of the private sector... As for the all government is corrupt and corporations run everything, George Carlin put it much more eloquently (and humourously) than I ever could

I'm not going to comment on the first bit of this... but yeah, I agree with you about the off-topic thing, I'm just a ridiculous political junkie and I really cannot abide when people spout demonstrably false ******** without being challenged. This went from "Rob Ford dun f***ed up again" to "at least he's not as bad as Obama..." so... I won't take much of the credit for derailing this.

This is all very, very stupid. At the very least you are misguided and misinformed when it comes to politics. You know why food stamps are up? Because the economy is in the shitter because it was crashed by a bunch of libertarian f***wits on Wall Street and the "stimulus" was about half of what it should have been to actually help the economy. The US is the last f***ing country in the industrialized world to have even close to a reasonable health care system in place for their population, that is a goddamn travesty for a country that professes to be the "greatest country in the world". If you can't take care of the people in your country you are not a functioning government. Seriously, you spout ridiculous talking points without any facts to back them up, and *I* don't know politics? Man, read some history. Read some economics (and not that thoroughly discredited Austrian, supply side crap that has failed in every single real world situation...). Maybe then you won't sound like that asshat rancher who thinks he shouldn't have to pay for the land on which his cattle graze.

If I wanted Fox News talking points I'd watch Fox News. He's raised taxes slightly on the wealthy, but still not as high as they were under Clinton (and still lower than they should be for maximum economic benefit). The debt "he" racked up was mostly on the books before he took office, you do realize that budgets are run through congress, not through the executive brancth right? And "Obamacare" is a complete giveaway to the private insurance companies in the US, so yeah, that's right wing as all f***. Seriously, just repeating "he's a socialist" over and over doesn't make it so.
