  1. I certainly don't know what will happen, but the two absolutely without question intentional "hit the catcher with the backswing" issues and the "swing at a patch that is past the plate and 'accidentally' let go of the bat aiming at the pitcher and missing and tossing it towards 3rd" things in the same game? That's some seriously terrible s*** and he should not get away with a s***** YouTube "I'm sorry" act as his 'punishment'. Unless the league is declaring open season on Manny Machado, so every pitcher can throw at him without repercussions for the rest of his career or something... That would be an interesting decision.
  2. Until he's avoiding a tag that's technically not a problem... But yeah, he'd have been out pretty quickly.
  3. He'd better... A court ordered apology isn't usually a suitable punishment... Apology was decent, but it was obviously something he was told he had to do, and saying "I'm sorry" doesn't get you out of punishment... Or if it does, I have some judges to speak with...
  4. Man, I tried to delete this post because my reading comprehension SUCKS tonight, so I'll just edit it instead to hopefully cover up the incriminating evidence of me being a total f***ing idiot.
  5. f*** it, GG at BOTH 3B and 2B this year... It's voted on by total idiots, so they could do something that crazy... f***ing Raphael Palmero won the GG at 1B in 1999 when he played 1B for 28 games and DH'd the rest of the time, these people are drunk with power... Actually, f*** it... Give Lawrie the GG at catcher and right field, completely prove how stupid the f***ing award is.
  6. Also, way to bail Dickey out and leave him with respectable "traditional" stats! I love you in the most unnatural ways, McGowan.
  7. So, to those that were all like "Deadpool, you're dumb for your blind dislike of Dickey!", hi! I hope you're having a wonderful evening!
  8. Frankly, if I batter doesn't make a serious effort to get out of the way it shouldn't count as a HBP, much less ones that move into the pitch.
  9. I hope they call this, because guys get away with that crap way too often.
  10. Okay, I'm calling this a troll account. I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but this is definitely intentional idiocy.
  11. He has been better than I expected in the field, that's for sure.
  12. Gose definitely didn't help the team at the time he was acquired, he was farther away from the majors than Walrus was. It was a very bad example for you to pick, given the point you were trying to make.
  13. I don't know if Wrigley is older, but Fenway is the shittiest stadium in the history of stadiums, so that part is a science fact.
  14. Uhh... Walrus and d'Arnaud were not "lately" (your original statement suggested that "lately" AA has a hate on for prospects), and Walrus was traded for an even younger/farther away prospect...
  15. Don't see a tonne of difference between that and a stomach virus that incapacitates both teams for 2 weeks...
  16. To be fair, he said "terrible bus crash" not "fatal bus crash"...
  17. Burhle Hutchinson Stroman Dickey #5 of your choice...
  18. I have very little faith in a long roll from Dickey, but I would love to be proven wrong... As long as it's not Pedroia, Pierzynski or Papelbon, I would be happy to have any player contribute to the success of the Jays (those guys can collectively eat from the world's largest bag of dicks.)
  19. I don't hate anyone involved with the Jays, but I really hated the move and still do... But when did "he can't help it if he's not good" become something that mattered to sports fans? Remember when Aaron Hill or Josh Towers were booed out of town? That's the nature of being a fan of sport, ragging on bad players.
  20. It was an actually apology, so good for him for not making it a "I'm sorry if they were upset at what they think I did" kind of things... But the "why are you issuing this apology" question has one real answer: I was told in no uncertain terms by the people who pay my salary that I had to.
  21. Yeah, 'caught that, dunno how I misread that, but multitasking... Regardless, the overall cost of R.A. Dickey was far greater than what the expected return could possibly have been. They have made him the opening day starter twice now, which implies that the team as a whole expects him to be the best pitcher in the rotation, and he's been exceptionally sub par with those expectations in mind. I simply dislike having R.A. Dickey on the Jays and I am going to continue to be vocal about it until he is gone, or he does something to change my mind about it. If he was brought in to be a #4 starter, I would be pleased with the results, he was not and I am not. All will NOT be forgiven by me if he does go another 6 shutout innings.
  22. So lets add "math" to things that Matt Harvey doesn't quite get.
