  3. So the dude that caught the bat is this guy: https://twitter.com/heywriterboy And boo Francisco
  4. So, what's the forum name of the giant dude that just got EE's bat?
  5. Brazil has given so much to the world... waxing... I presume other things...
  6. What you and a minor league baseball player do in the privacy of your bedroom is no business of the feds! Did he jackknife out of the way both times? Oh Jetering, I'll miss you when you're gone (no I won't).
  7. Yeah, that's how we getcha...
  8. I'm going to assume you meant to put "wilco" and not "Lind"...
  9. Reyes (3pts) - flafson Melky (2pts) - Bautista (1pt) -baseballsss, Chappy, bowld, Jonn Lind (3pts) - Spanky99, GD, Gen.Disarray, Dylan, G-Snarls, Angrioter, NorthOf49, Lind, Deadpool Eddy (1pt) - LetTheBallFly Juan (2pts) - Lawrie (1pt) - Navarro (5pts) - Gose (8pts) - jays4life19
  10. Yeah, but this is the same discussion we have with Gose v/ Colby... Though, I have no idea who replaces him at 3B since I don't know the O's system particularly well (read: at all)
  11. And the problems he's had with injury since becoming a Jay have been because of his back. Even if you're a knuckleballer, you're still an athlete, and speaking as a dude in my mid-30s, the body goes as you age, regardless of the varying degrees of stress you put on it.
  12. Birthdate: 10/29/1974 That right there is more than enough for me to expect regression from ANY player. So no, it was not reasonable to expect that he'd maintain that.
  13. Hopefully not, given his numbers...
  14. Dickey's xFIP: 4.46
  15. Caps out at 10.6% in the minors (ignoring SSS outliers), last season he was at 8.6% in the minors. While that is not (as I said) "pretty poor", it is at best a bit above average and with the rest of Gose's skill set, (and the fact that he Ks at a pretty awful rate) it is not enough to make him a viable player as anything more than a 4th OF long term. Hopefully he'll pick it up and start to get on base, because I would love his wheels and D in the line-up, but for now, bring back Cleatus!
  16. Game 66 Reyes (3pts) - Melky (2pts) - Bautista (1pt) - Jonn, jays4life19, vdub Lind (3pts) - flafson, Dylan Eddy (1pt) - Deadpool Juan (2pts) - Angrioter, GD Lawrie (1pt) - Navarro (5pts) - Gose (8pts) - Pillar (8pts) -
  17. Gose has been pretty poor at taking walks throughout his minor league career (.336 career minor league OBP, .339 in 3 seasons at AAA), so his ability to take walks after his call up hasn't totally convinced me that he'd be a guy that can get on base... I would LOVE it if he learned to take a walk, but I am not ready to crown him as a guy that gets on base and can steal yet... If he learns to walk, he'll be a great player, if he doesn't, he's a 4th OF in the majors...
  18. Adam Lind's June numbers: .300 .417 .400 .817 If that's "coming back to earth", I'm okay with it.
  19. I stand by my earlier s***ing on Dickey, and even though I didn't post anything about Gose in the thread, I stand by my Rasmus > Gose position in general (and my Gose is a sub par major leaguer in the long run stance). I didn't say anything about Pillar or Tolleson because I don't have any meaningful expectations from either, anything they add is a bonus (though, I sort of expect Tolleson to make that play at 2nd, he's supposed to be the defensive upgrade...)
  20. .338 OBP this season (after starting on a huge tear). That still doesn't make him more valuable than a healthy Rasmus in my eyes, even considering the extra D (Rasmus is a good CF, he's not as fast, but he takes excellent routes to the ball.)
