  1. Hrmm, that was a bad call... in our favour, but still bad.
  2. This ump has actually been pretty good behind home today.
  3. I think it's the right call, but five minutes to figure that out is inexcusable.
  4. You can say it, Buck. He moves around pretty well FOR A FAT GUY.
  5. I was drunk during no pants Friday... But I'm sure I can swing it again today. Question: Do I have to wear pants?
  6. Game 31 - Kelly (RHP) Travis (2pts) - Donaldson (1pt) - Bautista (1pt) - Jonn Edwin (2pts) - Martin (2pts) - Deadpool Smoak (3pts) - Saunders (5pts) - Pillar (5pts) - Valencia (6pts) - Carrera (7pts) - Collabello (3pts) - Goins (7pts) -
  7. I have no comments on movies. The reality there is that they charge a crazy, crazy amount to the theatres to play the movies, so they have to make it up through concessions. I'm a music guy, and thus far, my acting career is limited to one very, very small role.
  8. Okay, I'm not really sure where to start here... You have 1000 dvds that are terrible quality? Is that a thing? Were CDs $7 when they came out in the 90s? I don't remember that at all... Most music is under $10 online now... And yeah, don't pay for terrible music, why would you? Producers deserve money, it's the labels and publishers that get way more, Producers are hardly the problem that's keeping the artists from being paid... CDs (or recorded music in general) has never been a method for bands to get paid. The going rate for most bands signing a major label deal is about $0.17 per disc (for the whole band, plus their manager, lawyers etc...) Concerts actually pay the bands a lot, so awesome, go see those...
  9. I learned long, long ago (seriously, I'm too old for this s***) to not worry about criticism or comparisons... I make music (in this case, I just play drums... I don't write for this project) and some people will like it, and some won't... We're getting good responses for this project so far, I'm having fun, that's all I really want. I have my day job, so I don't do much full time anymore so if this makes me money, that's just a bonus. Glad you find it "not bad", we're actually playing a show in Oshawa a week from tomorrow if you (or anyone else) is interested

  11. Tonnes of bands over the years, current project is this (please note this is just a demo, so don't expect total polish...): https://soundcloud.com/blamethrowerband/
  12. Check out this 4 pitch walk, bro! http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/cache/numlocation.php-pitchSel=592717&game=gid_2015_05_08_bosmlb_tormlb_1&batterX=21&innings=yyyyyyyyy&sp_type=1&s_type=3&league=mlb&pnf=&zlpo=&cache=1.gif
  13. Apparently I was beaten to the punch!
  14. This is not an exaggeration. The math works out to roughly this: a song is played 1000 times on Spotify, the artist gets 1 cent. Well, the listener of Spotify isn't screwing the artist, but Spotify certainly is. And people who pirate music don't necessarily feel compelled to support the artist in any other way, but frankly... If you listen to my stuff on Spotify, or if you pirate it, it makes exactly zero difference to me. If you and 5,000 of your closest friends listen to my song on Spotify I can go get a hamburger. I'd rather have my stuff downloaded from piratebay, because at least at that point you keep it and maybe pass it on to other people who haven't heard my stuff before.
  15. Can we agree that 2 of the BBs tonight were total ********? I know that's a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things, but those were definitely total, unadulterated, weapons grade ********...
  16. Early contender for best thread of the year....
  17. If umps can't make the correct calls, regardless of the consistency of the pitcher, they should be replaced by computers which CAN do their jobs properly. My company would be completely out of business if they operated based on the "tradition" of the transportation industry. They're a $65M/year company because they have a robust IT infrastructure (could be better if they actually listened to the f***ing IT team, but hey... We do what we can...) In which he threw 3 of 4 pitches in the zone, and Pedroia got a 4 pitch walk?
  18. Yes I'm Siskel, yes I'm Ebert and you're getting two thumbs up
