    I said it before and I will say it again. Unless the leafs plan on beating teams 6-5 every night the money on taveras who is a good player would of made more sense looking at improving their D which is a very big achillies for them

    I don't think you need to DFA him you may get something for him ( nothing of any substance) from a team looking at him as a reclamation project.

    So i guess the next question is if you think Smoak will be gone come September. He does have a nice option year left if we can get some Interesting prospects for him it might be worth it if we don't see him as a long term piece.

    Do you think they give Donaldson a Look at first base..... If Smoak gets dealt (he has cleared from what i understand) if Donaldson can play in September he could get some looks a first base with Vlad coming up.

    He has a particular JPA vibe to him but with a walk rate...... I am not sure what to make of it. Seems to be a lot of holes in his swing but can lay off pitches.
