    They would not. He is likely going to get in the neighborhood of 12 per year and at that price i could see the jays trying to get him on a 2 year deal or something similar.

    Yup with a 5 year old as well nothing better then taking him to his first ball game. Unfortunately we are from manitoba so the closest thing I have for now is the goldeyes full I take him to Toronto. He still loves it

    It’s really hard not to like this team. They are fun, really Semien seems like the most serious and he comes off as a good team guy.

    You have to remember Free Agency in Toronto is not a great place. Toronto is not on a lot of players list especially now with the uncertainty of border restrictions we may not get a lot of that top tier talent even take a look at us. So it is easy to say but not that easy to execute. Also i don't think i would of sold off Ray. Keep him in and try to work out a deal and not let any team talk to him yet. If we had let Ray go and didn't get Berrios we would of been left with Ryu, Manoah, and stripling. Then we are battling to fill some holes Pearson is not a for sure anymore and you can't bank on free agency. Seems like Ray likes Walker and the organization he may be our best bet to land here.

    Just going to post this. They did not leave on good terms at all....... Would never happen and he may not be the guy to have leading a bunch of young players.

    Thats going to be an issue coming up. Ray is going to have to get paid to stay, But we also have to start looking into locking up Vlad and Bo and lets face it thats not going to come cheap.

    You can't compare Scherzer situation to this...... Scherzer likely have a list of 4 teams at most likely to the Gm and he had to deal with that. He was not there for anyone to have. Also Scherzer is likely gone after this year. So very very different. I was high on Martin so that stings by there is a few warts on SWR that are going to be hard to over look, he has not had a good fastball and he is walking people at a terrible rate. I don't think many teams were Valuing him like most on here. You can be mad for Martin but i always have the mind set that we have to overpay to get good to great players here and this is no different. Is it an overpay yes but is it outrageous? Not as much as some are making it out to be.

    I don't think they will call him up because they don't think he will be here in 3 weeks. If you think he is going to be part of a package there is no reason to call him up see him possibly struggle and decrease any value he occurred this year. I Honestly think Kevin Smith is going to be used to get some pitching help.

    I wanna know if Kyle Gibson is available. If so I would throw a nice package at him. 7m owed next year if we could get a deal around Gibson and Kennedy i would be game for that.
