It's not really that much money though. When you consider the contracts of Feldman ( 30 million - 3 years), Tim Lincecum - 35 million - 2 years) and just the general price for free agent pitching - 1 year and 9 million for Brandon Morrow is really a no brainier for me....unless he goes into the off season on the DL. Also, factor in that free agent pitching doesn't seem crazy about pitching in the AL east, in a HR friendly park and in a foreign country. We're not getting anyone signing a pillow contract here. Hell....Joe Nathan got 20 million over 2 years.

We're in first place. We have currently have JA Happ and Liam Hendricks in the rotation. We have a maxed out budget and can't really afford to trade our top young pitching. We absolutely want Brandon Morrow back. As long as he ends the year healthy, we pick up his option too.

Navarro hitting a home run doesn't change the fact that he's not good at baseball.

Kudos to Happ. He pitched well against a very tough team. I just hope that AA doesn't wait for things to regress before acquiring some pitching. We have the 3rd worst xFIP as a team in baseball. A front line starter and hopefully a healthy Morrow (i know i know) return in July should give us the depth we need for a run down the stretch.
