  1. I missed the first part of the segment but apparently they were talking about possibly trading JP. The awesome part was that Jamie Campbell was joining in on the bashing too and hes usually a gross homer.
  2. Zaun is pretty smart when he sticks to talking about the X's and O's of the game and clubhouse type stuff. He gets dumb when he trys to talk about things like prospects or trades.
  3. Both Zaun and Campbell on PTS Zaun basically saying JP doesnt know how to catch. Cox and Bob were asking if one of the symptons of this teams sloppy play are because of JP. Zaun was going off on this organizations ability to do fundamental things like bunt and slide. It's awesome to hear the talking heads around the team starting to speak out.
  4. RA Dickey 5-8 5.11 ERA 1.36 WHIP vs Freddy Garcia 3-3 4.47 ERA 1.17 WHIP How sad is it that we gave up arguably our top 2 prospects for Dickey and he might be outperformed this season by Garcia who was picked up for nothing by BALT.
  5. I was watching the Cards/Reds game last night and John Kruk said something great. Freese was up at bat in the 9th and I think a runner on 1st. He drove the ball the other way and this is what Kruk said..... "Thats just a great AB from Freese. He wasnt trying to pull the ball and hit a 2 run homer and be the hero. Knew what his job was and did it effectively. Thats the sign of a good team" When he said this I instantly thought how thats basically the opposite of the Jays. They come up in that same situation and attempt to do exactly what Kruk said you shouldnt be doing.
  6. Well last year me and many others blamed John Farrell but here we are with a different manager and the team is still comitting the same silly mistakes. Thus this needs to get pinned on the GM and you have to start asking the question if he understands how to put together a team that understands fundamentals and playing the game the right way. I'm not totally suprised tho seeing hes aquired a bunch of players that other organizations really didnt want anymore. This teams seems to badly lack a certain professionalism and also has a huge stench of selfishness to go along with it. I think we could really use a good everday veteran (impact player) thats established and can call out players when they get out of line. In a perfect world Bautista would be that player but its become quite clear hes really not that type of guy.
  7. Exactly. He's the more soft and cuddly Gibby this time around. But hes not to blame much as I'm starting to think AA is the real problem.
  8. AA and management have created a culture where you can act like a idiot and underperform and nothing is done about it. It looks like hes put together a team with many players who just dont understand the basic fundamentals of baseball.
  9. Rasmus has played alot better lately but that AB really sums up this team this season. It almost always feels like the other team is outsmarting us.
  10. He feels fine. He was on the radio today and seemed happy about the team playing better baseball.
  11. I generally believe that overall team IQ of this group is pretty bad but this organization is also flawed in its approach.
  12. Meanwhile AA was on the fan today and talking like everything is fine. He actually said this team is capable of going on a streak and winning like 8 games in a row
  13. I think thats the dumbest AB I've seen in awhile. I mean how could he not pick up on what the white sox were attempting to do? They have a meeting on the mound and then the first pitch is at your eyes? BUDDY THEY WERE PITCHING AROUND YOU!!!!!! DONT SWING AT GARBAGE!!!!!
  14. Like was Rasmus that oblivious to what the WS were trying to do?
  15. Did that AB with Rasmus really just happen? They have a meeting on the mound. Then proceed to throw him junk either way high or basically down low and Rasmus basically gets himself out? THEY WERE PITCHING AROUND YOU MAN!!!!!!
  16. What do we do with him and Gose? I was of the opinion of trading Rasmus, but I am wondering if the better move would be to sign him to a new contract and trade Gose for maybe a 2B or young arm?
  17. Yep. Just have to accept that we got bent over bad in that trade.
  18. I assume you're talking about the fact a knuckleballer doesnt generate as much stress on the arm and can pitch later in age? Even tho thats true, a 39-40 year old is a 39-40 year old and they experiance pretty much the same soreness to the rest of the body as most other guys that age. They will get back pain and feel other nagging soreness just out of being old for professional sports. Even Hurl himself spoke on this topic a few weeks ago saying his age might not effect his arm but the guy is going to still feel the pains of any other 40 year old guy.
