I know what the weather is like there and tonight would be fine. They have their built in excuse every year of "we're still testing it" but if that weren't an issue, then the temperature should never be the reason to keep the roof closed. It's an outdoor game and people can dress appropriately for it. This isn't really directed at you, but just a general annoyance about this.

He also complains some more in that interview, but that probably covers it well enough.
