    I keep looking at this and laughing all over again. It's also reminded me of his AMA that someone once linked me to that had this gem: Hi, Jose. Just one thing.     You're really not being consistent, though. "I don't condone drilling a guy with a fastball but that's also just a thing that's done in baseball, so accept it and move on." So f***ing what if that's how it's been done? Hard slides into second are also "how it's been done" but you rightfully aren't ok with them still happening. No, retaliation is stupid because it's childish and dangerous. "My feelings are hurt so I'll hit you with a fastball" is not normal behaviour. You can say "well that's baseball" but that still doesn't make it right. Nah, the end of it should have been the bat flip. Don't like it, get him out next time.

    Yeah, but are you really not going to do it if your manager tells you to? If it came from Banister, then he put Bush in a pretty bad position. Though honestly I'd hope it did come from Banister, because I don't think Bush should have taken it upon himself to get in the middle of something that really didn't concern him at all.

    I don't know why so many act like you have to be ok with one or the other. The slide was dirty and the retaliation for it was, as well. Most of us aren't condoning either.

    lol, that's what makes the whole thing so absurd. Resorting to physical violence because someone flipped a bat and hurt your feelings? I cannot with this idiocy. Of course, there were also idiots that supported Papelbon last year when he tried to choke Harper. It's all just so backwards.

    I spent probably twenty minutes during the game arguing with my sister about this and several other things about this team, and it mercifully ended once that bench clearing started. She's a f***ing casual fan that hopped on the bandwagon last year, and is trying to argue that the bullpen has been terrible, pitcher wins matter, saves matter... I don't know how to deal with people like that. I'm getting frustrated all over again now.
