  1. Ryu didn't have it...wasn't using his curve...couldn't locate....should have been taken out earlier...on to next year.
  2. The plan was for Ryu to pitch 6 I see......let's not deviate from the plan....f*** you charlie
  3. every sane person wanted that.
  4. nice throw.....I think he beat it initially, but popped off the bag
  5. that was a very positive take on the first half inning!
  6. how about we focus on this game
  7. Season on the line....no Rowdy....give me a break.
  8. I'm not generally a fan of swinging 3 and 0, but you can't make the argument in a vacuum either. We were down 3 runs late in the game. Given the dominance of the Rays pitching. What are the odds off getting 3 runs and what had your opportunities to score runs in the game been like. While the odds of a home run to tie are low, you had your best power hitter at the plate. The odds of him getting a hit to drive in some runs their might have been better than any expected odds to get guys on base and in scoring position in the coming innings given the dominant relievers we were facing.
  9. On to game 2. Since we're planning out the scripts prior to games. In an ideal world it's Ryu for 6, Pearson for 2 and Dolis for 1. Let's have a tad bit of flexibility. If Ryu is dealing and he's through 6 give him the 7th. If Ryu isn't on, it probably isn't going to matter. I'd start Rowdy at DH, first if they think he can handle it physically. Bring in Kirk once Ryu gets lifted. Let's go Jays!
  10. You make a good point on Tellez. There was absolutely no reason to not pinch run Davis for Tellez when he got on first and if we would have done that Davis likely would have scored on the Biggio double and probably would have scored on the sac fly even with a good throw.
  11. especially with Grichuk absolutely smoking a line drive, Jansen hit a ball really hard that just didn't drop, Panik his a ball hard in key spot, so did Bo.....we just didn't get the breaks tonight. The bats weren't fantastic, but they could have easily got 3 runs across given the contact tonight.
  12. You keep the faith. Rowdy is likely a below average hitter like you projected. Keep watching that box score hoping for bad days for old Rowdy.
  13. Gurriel has been our best hitter by a mile the last month. He should be in the 3 hole or the 2 hole really.
  14. Bad starters have good outings. Shoe career fip is better than league average and he's dealt with a lot of injuries. Buehrle said you have 6 starts where everything is working, 6 where you have nothing and a bunch that somewhere in between. Shoe hadn't given up a walk or a lot of hard contact either. Players don't have the same game every time out. I'm not sure if you've every played sports in your life. All you look at is the numbers. You compared Rowdy Tellez to Jabari Blash because you were stuck on AAA numbers from 3 years ago. We pulled Robbie Ray who was pitching well to bring in a guy with a career FIP close to 5 in one run game. Where was the logic in that move.
  15. Yeah, let's ignore the good velocity that's been there this start and last start as well as his command, which was on tonight. You may as well not even watch the games. Just check the box score.
  16. All the more reason for Shoe to go more than 3 f***ing innings.
  17. because we pulled Shoe after 35 pitches?
  18. f***ing cole.....never had to be in this game.
