Who is drawing conclusions? Did anyone in this thread say the season is over? Everyone is commenting about the game. Stop taking some moral high ground when there is none.
Well personally, it has to do with facing a possible postseason team (good chance of facing them in round 1 if we don't catch up to the Yankees, which we might not) without a 1/3 of their team and losing so atrociously - defensive errors cause no sunglasses, slap hits cause of bad shifting, possible tipping of Gausman's pitches, and unlucky DP with Kirk.
Not to mention we lost the first game to their AAA relief corps.
See that 1-2 pitch to Larnach? Splitter. Larnach didn't swing.
They know its coming.
If he can throw it for strikes, then let him do it - but he's trying to use that splitter to K by sinking it and they aren't biting. Mariners didn't bite.
They are not swinging at his splitter - his swing/miss pitch, wym wat. Mariners have done the same thing as well. He is having to pitch more fast balls in response and they are getting slap hits in response being late to them, which are finding holes.
Passan thinks Jays should trade KC for a deal involving Andrew Benintendi (LHH, OF, Rental), Scott Barlow (RHP, Relief, 2-yr control), and Josh Staumont (RHP, Relief, 3-yr control).
Both pitchers are gas-throwing swing-and-miss pitchers.
As good as Danny is, I feel like the league will figure out how to pitch to him and we should sell high.
I don't think he is as good of a hitter Kirk or Moreno will be and they are 23/22.
But that's just me, we could just as well see Moreno transition into another spot like 3B.
