Also, like, the expectation is like... you know... take some walks, not have ugly Ks, hit more doubles than noodle arm Tapia, little things. If he sucks, I am going to say he sucks, everyone will say he sucks. When he gets better or 'evolves' like you said, I'll say he's doing better. And everyone will rejoice that he is doing better.

    Acuna/Judge leg the f*** out of every ground-ball. Acuna's 107.2 groundout in the 1st tonight, where was Acuna when the ball was caught by Nationals 1B? He was 3 strides away from 1st base bag. Acuna's OBP overall: .369 | Vlad's: .340 // this month: .359 v. Vlad's .263 Acuna has as much WAR has Vlad does with 100 less PAs Judge tonight in the 10th. He pulled a grounder to 3B, he almost beat the throw. He knows he is slumping and guess what he is doing - trying to get his ass on the base. I don't need to open up Judge's overall stats, but this slump (where Judge is 12-61, basically July): .340 OBP, BB-K ratio above league average and still produced 128 wRC+ No one also has ever said or thought he should be sent to minors; doesn't mean we can't say literally what we see. People talk about Bo all time; no one thinks he is doing wonders either. You just have blinders focusing on only when someone says bad about Vlad. You have this weird complex to defend him even when there is nothing to defend

    Iunno, he probably has a Vlad body pillow. As for Vlad, he has been swinging at everything this month. I said it in the GDT - he's swinging like everything thrown at him is a fastball instead of his trademark: let his batspeed carry the damage on fastballs while he sits on the off-speed. This new approach of swing-happy is inhibiting a lot of what he can actually see/evaluate pitch-wise, so he's just out of sorts.

    What are you even talking about? He has 128 wRC+, 12/28 for all qualified 1B, that is, just above .500. His WPA is 0.67, 15th for all 1B, again mid. He combined for 1.7 fWAR so far, 12th for all 1B And for July (57 PA), he is 91 wRC+, -0.2 WPA, 0 walks, with a sub .300 OBP (.263) You're acting like he is some godsend. He's mid across all the 1B in the league atm. He's fine, doing fine, but he is not even remotely close to what he was doing last year and nor does he deserve the royalty treatment for what he is doing this year. 'Look at his stats'; pfft, look at everyone else's stats too while at it. Now before you bring in 'Trout' and passive-aggressive some stat diffs this year, Trout has had years of excellence.

    JRod comes up clutch with a 2-out grand-slam, probably leading Mariners to their 12th straight win. (8 - 3 top of 8th) First player in MLB to have 15+ HRs, 50+ RBI, 20+ Steals in the first 90 games.

    IKF bunted to the mound, Houck throws a clean DP ball away, allowing Yankees to tie. Yankees have to be the luckiest f***ers ever this season lol. --- Sox walk to load the bases (0 outs) and then induce a GIDP; still tied 4 - 4 Yankees commit a NOBLETIGER. Going to extras. Tied 4 - 4 --- Sox also load bases in the 10th and nothing comes out of it. Tied 4 - 4, bottom 10th we go with Judge/Rizzo/Stanton Yankees loaded the bases AGAIN on a IBB/error and then GIDP. Tied 4 - 4 top 11th we go --- Top 11th, 2 outs - Xander (Manfred Runner) on 3rd. King pitches a slider, Trevino couldn't field it cleanly - bounces off him back towards King. Xander takes off and scores because King didn't get to the plate. Game winner. Damn. Fun game!

    Vlad can crawl to 1st if he wants to when we have a 7-run lead. When scuffling to put any runs on the board like the the stretch of west coast games, and he jogs, it feels awful to watch as a viewer. He's 23 (not 32 and past his prime) and struggling to do any meaningful damage with the bat, the least he can do is try to force the defense to make errors and get on base somehow. If fatigue is his issue, he can call in and say he won't show up for ASG and spend the week in bed. He doesn't need you to be passive aggressive against us; he can shut us all up by showing up and performing. He isn't even doing better than Tapia in July (0 walks! Tapia has a walk!) and we're halfway through.
