  1. Deal's done with or without Hosmer Hosmer prolly gonna be flipped to a team for relief.
  2. Nationals wanted one or two MLB talent with control. That's why they are getting Gore & Abrams which the Padres didn't want to include early on (but now they are to seal the deal) Also why Cardinals went out of the race because they don't want to include Carlson. Nats wouldn't do it if we didn't include Manoah or Kirk, and Kirk is in the same position as Moreno (blocked by Ruiz).
  3. Manoah (Gore) Moreno (Abrams) Tiedemann (Hassell III) Martinez (James Wood) Kloffenstein/Pearson (Susana) I don't really know about Hosmer and how to value the guy but he's negative so prolly can downgrade Manoah to something else
  4. Doesn't matter, can we get Happ + Givens/Robertson before Cardinals/Dodgers/Mets get them now that Soto is most likely gone?
  5. We still would not have enough to match what they put out there.
  6. My dude. We don't have the caliber of prospects to come close to matching that.
  7. Prolly but they could've added Kirby, hell even threw in Kelenic. Mariners need offense; their pitching can hold its own in a playoff series.
  8. I feel bad for the Mariners; they could've f***ing matched that deal and got two offensive powerhouses instead of Castillo. Actually lol.
  9. AND HOSMER?!@!@! (Not confirmed by either team yet but wtf)
  10. Lol HOSMER is the final piece?!?! Wtf are Nats doing
  11. Ya a lot of meatballs (90-95 mph fastballs middle/middle or slightly middle/in, 80-85 hanging sliders) are just not getting blasted. There have been shades of it since the ASB (and during the KC series) with some missiles for doubles but it hasn't been consistent. He's still finding holes with the grounders or bloop singles to keep his AVG/OBP afloat, walks have gone down in the last month (5 in July). And still he has a 142 wRC+ clip in the month. He's either late on the meatballs (I have seen way too many pitches fouled back, which is weird considering how insane his bat speed is) or he's early (his swing path, in this case, leads to grounders to SS with the 110+ EV because his contact to the ball is after the bat has risen past the plane of the pitch; every grounder on a meatball is the same swing, same contact, same pull to SS - can see it happen the same way over and over again). His timing is just off and it might be in his head. His LA issue could be due to timing. He also definitely needs to take things the other way - he did at the start of the year for a good stretch. Then maybe he started pressing/pulling and hasn't shed the bad habit yet. Oh well, he has two months to lock in; if he gets it going by then, he can carry the playoff offense by himself.
  12. Remember when Padres were close to landing Max Scherzer from Washington Nationals but the deal was not yet finalized?
  13. Something's brewing!
  14. His LA issues have resurfaced, haven't they? Also seems to be completely missing meatballs (sliders especially) - can't seem to pick the spin leading to late swings
  15. looks wise maybe but do you see Bo winning back to back gold gloves any time soon?
  16. LHP Cade Povich, RHP Yennier Cano, RHP Juan Nuñez and LHP Juan Rojas That's a lot of development to do
  17. f*** right before we are facing them I doubt Os would've done an inter-division trade.
  18. Either way Horwitz has to be traded for something. We don't really have room up here for him and he's eligible for Rule 5 Draft at the end of this season. Would be super bad if nothing happens with the dude to benefit us.
  19. Pasquantino?!
  20. Lopez is so injury prone though and we are already dealing with Ryu + Kikuchi's 'neck strains'
  21. Ya he's going to be posted (at least the first time he can be posted) is when Lourdes/Teo contracts fall off. Perfect time to get this dude especially with no outfield prospects to speak of. "Lee won another Golden Glove Award in 2020[8] with a batting line of .333, 15 home runs, 101 RBI, and a career-high OPS of .921"
  22. Bloom is weird. He's trying to Rays the Sox, and its just weird. Apparently, some predictions involve us getting Happ and Mychal from Cubs
