How many more years do you think Edwin has before he begins to decline? If the choice is between trading him to acquire a legitimate pitcher who we will probably be able to resign once all these other contracts come off the books, and then having to be a little creative to replace his production, or spending a ludicrous amount of money on a Jimenez/Garza type and retaining Edwin and hoping he continues to produce, I'm taking the former. By next offseason people will be wanting to trade Edwin before he loses all his value like people want to do with Bautista right now.
