  1. This may sound absolutely ridiculous, but when you are facing a pitcher who is absolutely dealing like Hendricks is and you are losing is there a case for IBBing him? I don't know if there are any stats about how pitchers do after having to run the basepaths.
  2. 5 WAR last name.
  3. Bring back Randy Ruiz, that's what I say.
  4. Why has Upton been so bad recently anyway (and his brother as well for that matter)? Lost the bat speed?
  5. There are always relievers available cheaply in the offseason. It's July when their value skyrockets because they are so valuable in the post-season.
  6. I like those players but I don't see how we have the bullets to get them without Stroman, Sanchez or possibly Osuna.
  7. Rasmus' main problem is that he has the IQ of a potato.
  8. I'm not sure about trading Happ. We've been incredibly fortunate with pitching injuries the last couple of years. There's always a good chance that someone blows out there arm in spring training so we need that depth. There also aren't that many dumb GMs around anymore who buy high on that kind of player. You'd get innings eater value for him, not meaningless stat value (20 game winner). I don't really understand why everybody likes Josh Reddick as well. He's not a particularly good hitter, nor is he a particularly good fielder. I know he doesn't cost a draft pick and that he's better than Michael Saunders but I think he's going to be overvalued in the market because of his relatively young age, sort of like Heyward was.
  9. That was the most boring implosion I've ever seen.
  10. I think so many clubs are going to see Carlos Gomez as a buy low candidate that he won't end up being one.
  11. We should probably start by explaining that they aren't a symptom of demonic possession.
  12. Cubs must be sick to death of Gillaspie.
  13. Their pen didn't impress me that much today, got lucky on quite a few hard hit outs. I'm a bit worried that we are going to end up with protests outside the games though which will be a big distraction.
  14. I don't think we should just assume that the Red Sox will be as good next year, they are losing Ortiz, Hanley is infamous for up-and-down seasons and presumably at some point Pedroia will stop playing like the first ballot HoFer that he is.
  15. Boston because I've always wanted to see us play with the Red Sox or Yankees in the playoffs. Winner of the series is likely going to have to play the Cubs at the end so it's not like it's ever going to be easy.
  16. Rangers really can't play defence in the postseason for some reason. This is how many games they've thrown away in recent memory? Kind of felt sorry for the scumbag Matt Bush, he was lights out.
  17. A couple hard hit outs there for the Cubs, unlucky.
  18. Why all the hate for the Giants? My only problem with them is that I watched one of their games against the Phillies a number of years ago with a girl from Philadelphia and them winning cost me a good night.
  19. I'd actually rather play the Red Sox because I suspect the Indians will kick off protests in Toronto outside the game.
  20. Red Sox can absolutely bounce back from this.
  21. Going to need Kluber to go 9 tomorrow.
  22. I would have saved him for the 12th inning.
