Edwin Encarnacion's agent Paul Kinzer told Sportsnet 590 The Fan that his client has received an offer from the Blue Jays "but it's not where the camp wanted it to be."

Kinzer said Encarnacion's preference is to return to Toronto, but it's going to take a hefty sum given the landscape of this free agent market. EE is arguably the best bat available, having tallied 42 home runs and 127 RBI in 160 games this summer for the Jays. He boasts a .912 OPS (146 OPS+) over the last five years. Kinzer added that he expects a resolution before the Winter Meetings in December.
