    Im not gonna pretend to know how desperate certain teams will get at the deadline, but I think getting Frazier on his own is likely our best case scenario for Happ.

    I do agree though a large portion of the media is out to lunch when it comes to Trout and trying to compare anyone in the league to him. How he isn't celebrated more is a crime to him, he's on a smooth track to being the greatest of all time.

    unlikely for sure, but can't discredit the amount of success he has had thus far. Trout has had a far superior career and no question he is the league's MVP but the 2 of them are incredible talents, and I dont think it's ludicrous to include Mookie in the discussion for this season with the start he has had

    Obviously with Betts injury his sample size is smaller, but he has a higher fWAR per game than Trout so far this season. Mookie's fWAR 162 game pace is 13.9 compared to Trout's 12.6. If he were able to somehow keep this pace he should certainly be in the discussion.

    Where exactly do you find him looking like s***? He is taking pitches in 90% of the video. The swing around 1 minute is ugly, sure, there might be one more uncomfortable looking swing, other than that he looks fine. He hit that home run 340+ with a wood bat at 17. Kid turns on a 95 mph inside fastball. Additionally, looks like they'll be signing him under slot which allowed them to sign his HS teammate Kloffenstein in the 3rd where no other team likely would have been able to. Pretty awesome start to the draft it seems IMO

    And in baseball this is especially true. The medicals and slot money and draftees asking price further complicates this draft more than any other draft. I get having a hobby of watching college ball and getting an idea of who these players are before the draft, but you'll never have the information the front offices do. Getting angry at this kinda stuff is just silly

    Im gonna go out on a limb and say it's the same reason no other team has taken him or Liberatore. This happens every year and people get pissed off every year. Oh and by the way, some of these high ranked players are still gonna be there in the second and third round, and the jays will still pass on them due to $$

    Im not gonna pretend I like the pick or agree with it. Im also not gonna get pissed off about it either. All these guys are years away none of us realistically know s*** outside of a few scouting reports.
