AA pretended that he didn't know Miami fired their GM. If he goes to Miami he was being deceitful and not bargaining in good faith with the Jays. It will tarnish his reputation imo. I don't care about him anymore, he's now an opponent to my Jays.

If it's true AA needs to grow a set. Contract negotiations are just that, back and forth bargaining. Nothing wrong with Shapiro trying to get the best deal for the Jays. AA left us, it's all on him... f*** him.

You still don't bail out on the team you created. He was given an opt out clause after one year, AA just showed his immaturity which also surprised me. As if you walk away from it, I say shame on you young man, you still have a lot to learn and you let it go to your head.

I'm already having Blue Jay's withdrawals. Being retired I was looking forward to watching that great team play almost every day, and now.... nothing. Now I'm switching to my Habs which are off to their best start ever, but I still prefer my Jays. I have high hopes with Shapiro, he knows his stuff. -
The Shapiro era starting TODAY! I didn't mind AA but he left the Jays so .... f*** him. Lets hope for a long term winning team under the new boss. He knows his stuff.

That's exactly my thoughts also plus the fact that Shapiro may have come to like AA. Could you imagine if everyone would quit because they get a new boss? Very immature of AA imo.

AA was THE NINJA, not replaceable. A workaholic that made some impossible trades, he wasn't named executive of the year for no reason. I for one, is hoping that he signs with us.

Shapiro wants Gibby fired, that's what AA bitched about and not willing to do it. Shapiro takes over on Monday, fires Gibby and hires AA on a new contract.

This is on AA, he turned down the job. Shapiro is the boss.

I dislike Gibby, made me swear too many times at his decisions or lack thereof which did cost us some wins imo. Hope he's gone. -
Shapiro's the new boss, AA couldn't see himself working for him and losing some of the control he had. This is ALL on AA. Now if some players go on record to criticize the front office it will mean likely that they get traded, specially Bautista imo. There will be changes coming up, lets hope they are for the best.
