  1. Kinda disheartening for Casey when he does his job twice in a week and the guys behind him botch two routine plays that should've ended games. That worries me cos that's when guys start trying to do too much and strike guys out. Now watch pillar atone and hit into a DP
  2. Again, a MLB player who can't do his job and move the guy over. So sad
  3. The tolleson play is a play that has to be made 100 times out of 100 when the game is on the line. If you can't make that play, you need to find a job doing something else other than baseball. You simply can't make that mistake, especially after Reyes just did it a week ago. It becomes a momentum killer and it hurts the confidence of your close. He does his job and his team can't make routine plays behind him
  4. That's twice now in just over a week where all a guy had to do was complete a throw to first base for the game and they couldn't do it. Twice in a week, lol.
  5. f***ing ridiculous, I just told my wife how if this defense keeps giving up extra outs it will come back to bite them. And why the f*** is Pillar diving at that ball instead of keeping it in front of him? f***ing utter studpidity
  6. Lead off walk in the eighth inning, i just don't get that.
  7. The thing is, it's the same thing repeating itself over and over again. His last 10 starts, he's pitched 7 innings once and that's both glaring and telling. Had A WHIP over 2 against Detroit in his last start and same for the one before against a weak hitting team like K.C. In night games this year, it's at 1.57 with opponents batting .270 against him. Lucky to win at all with those numbers.
  8. I think Gibby pulled him because if you look at past performance, he has gotten into trouble in the fifth or sixth almost EVERY time out. His OPP. B.A and OBP the second and third times through speaks volumes about what he does at that point in the game.
  9. Wow Jose, wanna make a f***ing play out there for f*** sakes?
  10. Yeah but in all fairness, Bautista has to back off on that ball and it's a single and the entire outlook of the inning changes from there. I mean, mif he still hits buddy and issues a walk then the outcome is the same but.....we'll never know
  11. I'm guilty of being too hard on Dickey, but I guess it's because my expectations were so high of him. He threw two and three hitters with regularity in the NL and I think I've only seen one single start from him here like that in our uniform in two years. I had high expectations from him and going forward, when looking at playoff possibilities, I can't see depending on him as a starter at all in a playoff series. When i look at where that leaves us, it's pretty bleak.
  12. Edwin is turning out to be another Bautista. A guy who had some potential, but never really showed it much. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere he hits 40 and then turns into an absolute beast. Amazing what confidence can do for you. As for the HBP thing, i find it strange that it's not reviewable because a manager can ask the HPU to ask the other umpires on the field, so why it wouldn't be reviewable by a crew with replay capability is beyond my comprehension.
  13. Good look up, I find that to be rather confusing. Similar situations on the field are reviewable but not something that obvious? Kinda strange.
  14. Yes, you can, it's much like fan interference, it's a judgment call on whether buddy made an effort to get out of the way. It's rather simple really. On the Dickey note, it's the same thing every time out, he gets through 5 and comes out and implodes. As soon as he gave up that hit, I knew he was going to f*** the inning up. At least this hick for a manager is getting better at recognizing it. 3 starts back, he would've let dickey give up all 3 of those runs and then come out and even start another inning. Our bullpen has cost us a few this year and that happens, but Gibby has cost us at least 3 and you just can't have a manger who consistenly lapses in judgment and who doesn't recognize situations when they repeat themselves.
  15. Fair enough, I can respect those points. But he still needs to give us some clutch games when we need him. It's not like we're facing the Yanks or the Sox in september here. But with a 9 game win streak and facing the royals? I expect better. From just about ANY starter, not just him.
  16. No sooner then I say it? f*** I hope his shoes don't stink!
  17. f*** Edwin, if you hit one here? I'll clean your shoes for a year
  18. I just expect him to be able to help the team. Coming out and shutting down the royals, when your team has given you 4 runs against the other teams ace, isn't a tall order at all and certainly not too much to ask.
  19. That's true. But he WAS coming off a CY Young season where he lost what? 5 times? With an ERA under 3? I'm not expecting him to be Roy, but I do expect him not to s*** the bed when the team has won 9 in a row, and he's facing the weakest hitting team in the league.
  20. Yeah, but he's not giving us quality starts when we need them. I mean, you always love a quality start, but baseball is hugely situational, meaning there are times when it's imperative that we get that "quality start" and for the past year and a half, he's consistenly been a momentum killer. Just as Halladay was that guy who almost ALWAYS broke the teams losing streak. He was a true ACE in that critcal senser as well. Dickey comes out and shits the bed at times when we need him to continue to help give the team momentum. Like tonight where his team gives him four runs against a weak hitting team that is 3-7 in it's last ten and scuffling huge.
  21. Exactly, Mark is pitching like a no. 1 but realistically, he's a no. 3 and that's even risky in a playoff situation. As it stands now, we have no no.1 or 2 guy. This team should have went after that Jeff Sardine f***ing guy or however the f*** you spell his name that's pitching for the Cubs right now. Dickey is a no. 4 or 3 at best
  22. This guy shouldn't be managing this team. As good as they are offensively, this guy is way too f***ing stupid to manage any pitching staff. Not pulling this guy LAST inning was more than enough to question his ability to manage a major league club. Bringing him back out there to extend the lead??? Can he not see that Shields is opposing us?
  23. Is this guy REALLY back out there?? What the f*** is going on here? Is nobody managing this team?
  24. Can't cuount this team out with a 1 run deficit. But with a manager with any baseball brains, we might still be in the lead, or at least tied. But we'll never know now.
  25. Exactly what I've been saying. Offense will win you games at times, but pitching and defense wins more and wins championships. Not washed up 40 year old knuckleballers who can't hold leads.
