  1. I don’t think they want to be called retards no more
  2. Danny has like a 1100 OPS in September and has looked really good defensively, I would have kept him in. Kirk should appear as a pinch hitter for Lamb later on ideally against a lefty
  3. Can you elaborate on this? I’ve always been fat and i am wondering what advantage I might have lol
  4. 10-4 84 runs for 54 runs against
  5. Talk about upside for the worst hitter in your lineup though...
  6. Pearson is my favourite, I’m so happy we kept him
  7. Martin has no power and can't play the infield and SWR walks too many guys and has no fastball velocity. The Jays are clearly trying to sell high on these guys before their value tanks in order to add to the current team which is statistically elite and just might happen to have a fire lit underneath it for the next couple months and go on a bit of a run. Berrios is a top 5-10 pitcher in every meaningful category over the last 3 years, and the plan has to be to try to resign him long term. It makes plenty of sense.
  8. I was hoping for someone who could play 3rd. Maybe they call up Kevin Smith?
  9. Kloffenstein is likely in the mix, same with Otto Lopez. Patrick Murphy might be a thing again now that he has recovered from his old delivery literally being a balk every time
  10. it's not insignificant that we didn't have to pay Stroman's big salary during the down years. Basically they turned an expiring asset into a long term asset with more flexibility. Its incidental that they turned SWR into a similar pitcher to Stroman - they could have even traded SWR back for Stroman and it still would have been a positive sequence of moves just because they gained flexibility, retained an asset and saved money during non-competitive years
  11. looks like we never got that extra bat
  12. If you trade biggio and play smith at 3b then what’s the plan for 2b next year, Espinal for a few months and then hope groshans is ready?
  13. Bringing back JD for another playoff run just feels right.
  14. First domino to fall. Hopefully we get one of the 2nd tier guys
  15. Manoah and Kirk are still prospects right
  16. Part of what we traded for is 1.5 years of exclusive negotiating rights. Everyone loves the city once they get here, but we tend to have a hard time selling free agents on the city who haven’t lived here before. We certainly gained a significantly increased chance of having Berrios in a Jays uniform in 2023 from this deal
  17. Not the kind of people we are looking to attract that’s for sure
  18. Also remember what the Jays did with Ray last year. Berrios might magically become really good down the stretch
  19. This is definitely part of a bigger plan to go all in on this year with Ray and Semien with vladdy having a mvp year. I foresee more trades from the farm in the next few hours. We still need bullpen help and a real 3rd baseman... They seem to be thinking the return to Toronto will light a fire under the team and they will go on the huge run that they need to go on for their win loss record to regress to where it should be based on run differential.
  20. I agree, Vladdy looks well on his way to winning a gold glove at first. And I am pretty sure the chase rate being such a high percentile means he is not chasing. They don't put bad stats on the red side of the slider bar
  21. so we're back to just "competing" again?
  22. Forcing tobasco sauce down a kids throat is assault of the highest degree. There is absolutely nothing funny about that...
