    I don't think Semien was filling a huge leadership role other than for a couple IF guys. Chapman provides that same work ethic. I think the guys clowning around on the bench... not running out plays can come off as not caring. It does seem to be that same group of people near the end of the bench we're all talking about. In reality we have no idea what that culture is in there so this is all assumptions.

    Bellinger's a CF and Merrifield's a RF/Utility with like 60 games at CF. Say Merrifield's option gets picked up... so now he plays CF and Springers goes to RF?

    I think the argument is if Springer is going to DH 30-40% of the time to "rest" him they need a capable CF.... Or you move Springer to RF and get a full time CF.
