  1. No...just no. Catchers with elite bat/glove and average or better of the other don't grow on trees, and especially not at 21 years old.
  2. He has lots of time to improve...
  3. So you think they're possibly one piece away from being a legit contender, and instead of getting that one piece you want to see them trade AWAY a piece, putting them further away from contending? Makes sense. No team in a million years would trade a JB or Edwin leading the division by 4.5 games on june 5th. That would be GM career suicide. Thank f*** you're not our GM.
  4. That pitch to v-mart was nasty. He still can throw nasty stuff his problem is he can't control much very well right now and no one's gonna chase if you're not throwing strikes with the fb.
  5. I'm no Friedman/Rays lover but you should probably stop using the word overrated. After calling Longoria overrated you kind of lost any credibility when proclaiming someone overrated.
  6. Stroman should definitely be given a decent sized leash to stay in the rotation. More upside than Happ/Hendriks. Redmond has been terrible I'm fine with him being dfa'd. Not sure about Hendriks in the pen though. Why not demote him to keep him starting for depth.
  7. Totally agree, but if he can pitch like that consistently with his stuff, maybe we only need one pitcher instead of two.
  8. I don't know what more you expect from a 3rd basemen, he has outstanding range/reaction and rarely throws a ball away.
  9. Personally I'm not as excited about him pitching well in one start, but more for the fact that we may have found a solid rotation piece that's cheap and didn't cost any prospects. If he can eat some innings and pitch like a solid #4 even it'll be a big boost over throwing out guys like hendriks.
  10. What are you basing it on when you say his glove isn't exceptional. His glove at 3rd has been exceptional and it may very well be at 2nd as well.
  11. hahahahaha good luck hoping for that to happen
  12. Rasmus put up 4.8 WAR last year, you're the one kidding yourself.
  13. http://m.si.com/4236507/mlb-power-rankings-blue-jays-flourishing-red-sox-keep-floundering/ Jays getting some recognition finally from mainstream US media. Nice to see them so high (6th).
  14. I know it's useless information because of sample size, but man those lineups have some ugly career numbers against those pitchers. Time for some regression to the mean and an 8-6 jays win.
  15. You must have some massive losers for friends. Doesn't look too good for you either considering these are the people you decided to befriend.
  16. Relax man, it's still just Juan Francisco we're talking about, it's not like were not calling up Juan Gonzalez or something.
  17. Is that a fact?
  18. Don't you know by now, many posters on this board are never "wrong". Most would be top 5 GMs in mlb if someone would just give them a damn chance.
  19. I think what he's trying to say is he may be extra cautious with minor injuries he may normally play through in order to avoid the risk of having the injury become more serious, thus affecting next year's contract.
  20. That sucks. Lots of memories growing up watching him. Back when wrestling was cool as f***. I remember watching the wrestlemania where he beat hulk hogan for the belt it was ppv but my parents got it with some magic descrambler box thing. Oh and Dodgers walk off in 10th
  21. Good game going on right now, tigers/dodgers. LAD up 2-1 in the ninth Kinsler on 2nd miggy up, Jansen strikes him out with all fb's, 98-99. Next batter is VMart and he brings Kinsler home tied 2-2 going to bot 9. On sportsnet east for sure not sure about others.
  22. He sure did. Right on his top hand fingers. Initially looked like it might have been semi-bad he looked like he was in a fair amount of pain but he stayed in the game so I assume he's fine
  23. Sorry to be "THAT guy" (not sorry) but no he didn't he stayed in the game and was on 2nd for the game winning hit by Nanita. Fatcow was talking about the Mets game.
  24. Holy f*** I swear some of you just like to complain. Big f***ing deal you have to read a couple pages of around baseball news to find information on s***** players with no connection to the Jays.
  25. What does our other NL acquisitions under performing have to do with Shark exactly? There's reasons to not make the deal but that one is pretty ludicrous.
