I think this is close to reasonable, and maybe even the right move for the Angels with the current state they're in. But still don't see it happening, the backlash from fans alone would give them pause.
Obviously extremely hypothetical and very likely to never happen anyway but reading this article made me wonder what you all think his current value is knowing he's going to start getting paid soon.

he's been excellent defensively this year too, that doesn't mean he's going to make every single difficult play. Very few SS are gonna get that short hop with everything going on on that play
We were 23-29 at the end of May last year, so it's not like the offense was winning games. People don't seem to realize this team was only really good for half a season.
