  1. Ryan Braun 3hrs 7 rbis tonight. Someone take a urine sample
  2. Still haven't seen our offense explode yet but our pitching has been pretty solid. Good win. Made the most of our hits and walked 6 times.
  3. Mark Buhrle has done a great job at keeping the damage to a minimum
  4. Hilarious that Goins is hitless and Emilio Bonifacio has 11 hits already.
  5. Coming into the series I liked our chances best with the Archer/ Morrow match up. A split would suffice just fine but I want this year to be difference.
  6. Any chance we can get a win tomorrow and end this Tropicana winless streak?
  7. Amazing defence by Lawrie. Beuhrle has 7ks to just 1bb on 2 hits through 6 innings. Very impressive.
  8. Interesting fact: Dioner Navarro reached base only 15 less times than JP Arencebia did last year, with 231 less plate appearances. Navarro isn't a world beater by any stetch, but the upgrades he provides over what we previously had at the catcher position really can't be understated.
  9. His almost sounds like Dirk Hayhurst to me. I have no problem with him, although I will miss Jack Morris. I found it refreshing last year that he wasn't deliberately nuthugging an awful baseball club.
  10. Is it wrong to hope he fails, so in turn his leash will be shortened and he might be replaced by one Mr. Drew?
  11. Looking forward to seeing Hutchinson pitch today. Wonder what our ST record would be if we never played the Phillies every other game seemingly.
  12. Spring training results assuredly mean very little - if anything, but I can't help but think about how much better a running start out of the gate would bode for this team's playoff hopes. Would love to see Edwin have a 2012 April and Jose a 2011 April.
  13. Defensively Lawrie is elite no doubt, but overall I wouldn't say he is on the same level as Cabrera/ Longoria/ Beltre/ Wright/ Machado / Carpenter. At least not yet anyways.
  14. Yeah I wonder how many games this team would have won this season with the Tigers' rotation. Awful defence this year no doubt, but the lineup has still scored runs at a decent rate for the most part.
  15. In Beuhrle's defence, his post April numbers have been pretty stellar. Everyone else has been either bad or downright terrible.
  16. I'll pass on Reynolds. Rasmus and JPA already provide us with enough Ks.
