I'm sure they've been told, they even let it be publicly known they weren't happy with Barriera coming in heavy at camp. I know Kirk came in fat, but he was dealing with a kid and s***, he might of not noticed he was a whale considering he shed a lot the season prior, but these guys coming back like that after all getting in better shape the season before is a fail on their fault, not the org. -
I'm now skeptical if that will be a thing, lots of mixed reviews and controversy still. We can live with Kirk and his minimal hit on payroll for the control of his contract, it'd be stupid to move him. I'm sure the fatties have been noted.

Silly wabbit... we have 2 top 15 catchers in MLB, man. This isn't a problem. Varsho at CF, will be suffice moving forward as will our C's. Jano at 10 and Kirky at 14, a LF upgrade is obvious, we'll see what they do here shortly. -

For this guy... Severino is a power bat, with even more power than Johan Barrios from his 6-foot-2 frame with the bat speed and strength projection for more power coming. He's a switch-hitter who could have plus raw power from both sides of the plate, with more advanced hitting ability from the right side. He has shown a solid approach for his age, too, with the patience to draw walks and get himself into good counts. An average runner, Severino is an offensive-oriented infielder who might start off at shortstop but will likely move elsewhere, with a plus arm that would fit at third base.

Yes, it would be depth/insurance, just responding to L54's comment on him and thought of him as well. I'm not going to try and pretend to know what this FO does, I don't expect much at the deadline, likely an arm and a complimentary bat.
