Feb. 28: LHP Ricky Tiedemann (left hamstring/calf inflammation) playing catch
This isn’t believed to be a serious issue for the Blue Jays’ No. 1 prospect, but Tiedemann continues to play catch to keep his arm moving, and the Blue Jays should have a clearer plan in the coming days. As long as Tiedemann doesn’t need much longer to ramp up, this should not impact his readiness for the season. The organization is eager to see what their top young arm is capable of after he packed on muscle and drew rave reviews (and crowds) after his early bullpen sessions.
Feb. 28: UTIL Cavan Biggio (left shoulder tendinitis) getting closer to game action
Biggio has been hitting off the machine at high velocity, which is an encouraging sign. This issue still isn’t considered to be major by any means, so as long as Biggio is able to continue ramping up at this pace, this shouldn’t get in the way of his readiness for the season.
