I guess there just wasn't that much of a market for him. He got some solid pieces but it just seems like a weaker return for how Wieters has started this season. It seems like this a return Wieters could have got in the offseason.

I don't get why you trade Matt Harvey for Matt Wieters, then a year later when Wieters is off to a blazing start and more valuable than he's ever been, move him for 11th overall and a top 70-90ish prospect.

Gibbers. I know why he moved Wieters, I'm just surprised that's the best offer he got.

Okay while watching the basketball game, I just attempted to deduce the offers like I did with the grant/chappy offer in the premier league. I need to find a better hobby for my free time... Eliminate: KK, Myself, Spanky -- for obvious reasons ITT. Eliminate: Boxy, Havok, jaysfever -- all have made it clear they aren't competing this year. AGonz wouldn't suit them. Eliminate: z3r0s -- he made it clear he's happy with his 1B situation and is even trying to trade a 1B. Eliminate: jaysblue -- he already has a logjam of Napoli, Teixeira, Freeman Eliminate: dinger, torontofan, BTS, North, hurl -- you can never really count dinger out, but all 5 of these guys have 1B/UTIL blocked with two 1Bs/3Bs. Eliminate: realmin -- Cuddyer is hurt, but should be back soon. OF/UTIL of Jones/Stanton/Holliday/Rios. No room for AGonz. Eliminate: silvergun -- 1B/OF/UTIL filled with Morneau/Jackson/CarGo/Upton/Bruce. Pretty loaded. Eliminate: gibbers -- he could still be in play. He doesn't have a true 1B and has some good young MLB arms. None fit the bill of the "big time prospect" though. Doesn't seem like a gibbers move. Eliminate: njh -- he has a couple arms who could fit the bill, but he has Davis/Hart. I predict he's more than content with that 1B/UTIL combo and wouldn't want to part with any of his pitching. Lastly, eliminate: sammy -- He has votto, but has room at UTIL. It looks like he could use the offensive boost too. If it's Sammy it has to be Gray/Wacha. Neither fit the "big time prospect bill" when they were being brought up, and my gut says Sammy would keep them. I eliminate him, but he would be the 3rd guess for me. That leaves: CatsAss and SpeedyGose. Cats has Abreu/Gomez/Hamilton/Puig/Martin. That's pretty crowded, but Hammy is hurt, and he's shown he's not afraid to immediately flip players. The main reason I speculate it's Cats is because he has Skaggs who fits KK's description perfectly. Speedy has Swisher as his 1B and some room in his OF. AGonz would fill a major hole for him. He also has Kyle Zimmer and Robert Stephenson sitting in his farm. Both are top 20 prospects. Both are in win-now mode and have players who would make sense based on the info given. The secondary pieces could be anything, but I predict the offers are something like: Cats offers: Tyler Skaggs + 14th overall + C prospect Speedy offers: One of Kyle Zimmer/Robert Stephenson + 8th overall + C prospect *Darkhorse hail mary prediction: BTS throws Syndergaard KK's way.

Can I make a prediction of who I think the two are, and what I think they're offering? That's not crossing any ethics boundaries right?

Can someone make a transaction quickly so it covers up the: Maurer signed, Maurer removed. Maurer re-signed, Maurer dropped Boxy will never let me hear the end of that if he sees it.
