in the reporting? Could be... but what kind of kid lets his parents know he just got sucked off?
  2. He's always had the tools, lets hope when he add some focus its a winning combination.

Not in any way justifying the act, but I would 100% not report that s*** when I was 15. Just being honest, not trying to say the guy was wrong for reporting it in any way.
  4. he's been pretty damn good over the past several years, projected for 4WAR next year. Not that dumb unless his injuries continue.
  5. I knew my 3rd rounder! Watched him play Wheat Kings hockey And everyone will know Madison Bowey soon enough. Go WHL go! lol

That pick could be pretty f***in high if the Knick keep doing what they are going
  7. lol, glad to have you back! Board is a much more entertaining place with good posters around.
  8. who are we trading Bautista for?
  9. pft, I'd drop the LOD in a second for the DDL if it came down to the two of them.
  10. This is why Lowrie makes so much sense. Plays 2B until Travis is ready. Plays SS if Reyes goes down where he is actually pretty good.
  11. Acquire Saunders, Sign Lowrie for a few years. Maybe add a reliever or two. Great OS.
  12. omfg, we really need to get over this 'knuckleball catcher' narrative. Its some weird perceived need that doesn't actually exist. Its not like we have JPA behind the plate anymore. its not like even JP wouldn't have gotten better at catching it with some practice. Just stick Martin back there and dump Thole immediately.
  13. reading the article closer, it also talks about club options, killing the reasonability of the deal.
  14. damn, was hoping to get that in before someone else saw my error
  15. oops, did my math wrong, he would be giving up 2 FA years. Still not totally ridiculous, but less reasonable for sure. Fact is pitchers break. Depends how much you want to bet on your health. The guy might end up only earning a handful of millions if he keeps getting injured.
  16. lol, was just saying in the other thread how out of touch he has seemed this OS, especially relating to the Sox pickups.
  17. I've really been losing respect for Bob Ryan this OS with some of his interviews about the Red Sox acquisitions. Seems really out of touch. Too bad as I loved Bob Ryan.
  18. I don't think its that ridiculous, guy just had a major surgery. Its not ridiculous to take the money early. Plus you only give up 1 FA year on a 6 year deal at this point. That and he's still uber young when he reaches FA.
  19. but other than that stuff, whats to like?
  20. one of these players has a few less games under his belt to accumulate WAR. You could use the same reasoning to say we wouldn't want Gregory Polanco over any of those three.
  21. I just think its lazy quoting Steamers like its gospel. If you are using it to say that player A is worth .2WAR more than player B next year, I don't think you are using it right. I also think its lazy using MLBTR's expected contract when it seems that is unlikely at this point.
  22. Saunders is my favorite of the options.
  23. Kevin Pillar Salary for the next two years, $1MM 2015 Steamer: 1.4 WAR see I can do it too. why don't we just stick with Pillar then?
  24. Kemp is too poor in the field (already) to consider this. I'd rather have Melky for a few years less at a few dollars less.
  25. maybe I would have had the chance if I was actually at the draft
