  1. Bauer would know his own medicals though and he doesn't have any history of injuries. It's just a case of maximizing your earnings vs job security, I guess. I just find it interesting as theres really no precedent for it for a player of his talent level. He sure isn't conventional.
  2. You could also argue that getting 1 year at 20 to 30 mil already has you set for life.
  3. How much would Bauer get on a 1 year deal in 2019 assuming he was a free agent?
  4. There's no real reason to think his performance will fall off a cliff, he's only gotten better. Also, if he gets injured he would still get paid handsomely by a team.
  5. Maybe. What's worth more? Six 1 year deals at the max you can get each year or one six year deal?
  6. His free agency will be interesting as he's publicly stated he's only going to sign one year deals.
  7. Yes it's a problem for me as well
  8. I also liked this question about Chapman: Do you know if MLB had the authority to prevent the incredibly tone-deaf selection of domestic abuser Aroldis Chapman to the ASG? The legal system and the league’s domestic violence policy have finished with him, but there is absolutely no reason he needs to be paraded around for marketing purposes. The union might not like it, but I and countless others prefer our baseball without people who fire guns into the garage while the partner they allegedly choked hides in the bushes.
  9. Salvador Perez made the allstar game with a 69 wRC+
  10. 12:07 Q-Ball: Early returns on Eric Hosmer are not very good….was that contract a mistake for the Padres? 12:07 Meg Rowley: I should say upfront that I don’t get really fussed about bad teams that aren’t really ready to contend spending money, even when it seems like too much for too little production. But like, who cares? It doesn’t stop me from buying snacks because it isn’t my money and it gives fans something to be excited about. But it doesn’t look like a great deal, no.
  11. I just read that another friend said he hired people to go to her house and beat the s*** out of her. that makes my post irrelevant.
  12. McCoy said he hasn't talked to the people accusing in months, his ex girlfriend said he beat her best friend yesterday. That's a pretty big difference and someone has to be lying. I can't imagine it would be hard to prove for whoever is telling the truth.
  13. What about the Yo Bros?
  14. Co-managed teams are the worst.
  15. Kingfiller cuts Evan white Melvin Jimenez Logan shore Grant Holmes Going to promote winker and Phillips
  16. By fWAR maybe but theres a bunch of relievers in that 0.7 fWAR to 1.4 range that are probably interchangeable talent wise
  17. Joe Jimenez stands out like a sore thumb. Probably shouldn't be on the team
  18. Jimmies will be rustled by this campaign

  20. Weird seeing a lot of these names on there. Feels like just yesterday they were prospects.
  21. Every teams fanbase - "I can't believe my teams reliever didn't make the allstar game!"
  22. 27 is not enough to have a second team. The current DSL Jays roster has 38 or so players on it. Complex league rosters are pretty big.
  23. We are interested in picking up an extra pick
