    Only the pitcher and catcher have defined spots on the diamond. As a precursor to the shift, Baltimore used to move an outfielder to the infield. The only requirement of position players is that they have to be on fair grounds (except the catcher).

    This is as bad as those hockey nuts in Toronto who keep talking about 4th line left wingers and winning the cup. We will not win because of some dreck pickup.

    My great confidence in AA is that my first response was that he wouldn't need to be PTBNL, they could trade him straight away. Oy ve.

    If I read correctly he had been outrighted to AAA so not necessarily a roster spot required. Also traded cash or a PTBNL so I don't think it's much.

    We need both. Rasmus and Melky are free agents, others will age and break down, and we always need starters.

    Maybe not. Maybe the idea is that he would go to AAA just to stretch it out and come back. Kind of like a rehab. Personally I think it's not a bad idea to work him in the way Hentgen was.

    Griffey used to put jr on it. He played the outfield with his father. Jackie Bradley jr just sounds like a douche putting it out there.
