  1. Pearson looks FILTHY. Love it.
  2. the first looked horrible but second was better.
  3. Kikuchi's delivery is all over the place today.
  4. They could bring in African American players. We've had a few good ones: Barfield, Moseby, McGriff.
  5. that's a lot of good batters getting work today.
  6. In the spectrum of likelihood, it is not that extreme.
  7. If he got 120 games after an injury or something like that and he went off then maybe.
  8. I agree for the most part and am a Biggio fan. I think he could bring a really good on base percent and score tons in front of Springer and Bichette. I would like to see him get 350-500 at bats. But I'm thinking Whitfield gets more starts and bats 8th or so.
  9. That's what I'm thinking. His value as a LF will not be the same as value at CF.
  10. If the intention is to use him in LF going forward then I think we aren't maximizing his value.
  11. WS pretty much trumps everything. I remember the trade at the time too and thinking "oh no". But WS = OH YEAH.
  12. Ernie Clement signed to a minor league deal.
  13. Some spring roster moves made: Returned to minors: LHP's Burnette, Robbins, Tiedemann RHP Juenger, Robberse C Ritchie OF Eden Optioned: Danner, Horwitz, Jimenez, Martinez, Zulueta. Only two moves I found premature: Zulueta I thought had another outing and Burnette seemed a remote possibility for lefty relief.
  14. White goes IL and Pearson makes it and becomes a super long man, making the All Star game.
  15. It's also possible that if one of Springer or KK goes down, he could come up and get some major at-bats in the outfield.
  16. Don't want to jinx it, but it's been a pretty good spring so far. Only real health concern is Vladdy. Even those hats are starting to grow on me.
  17. In one spring start, he started off overpitching. Then he chilled out and it went better. The pitching coach or catcher or whoever probably cooled him down. Nobody there in Puerto Rico to do that. SO GET HIS A$$ BACK TO DUNEDIN AND GET IT FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Yep, he needs to get his a$$ back and work on not tipping. He's "over pitching" -- he needs to chill it down a bit.
  19. Yeah might be good if some of the relievers are candidates.
  20. We're not much better. Might be interesting to see how some of the young guys are coming along but otherwise no.
  21. Just a matter of time before he calls it a "career".
  22. Yes we used to have a lefty in the system who threw one. His arm got really screwed up. I think his arm was backwards when his career came to a close.
  23. I believe in the Hall of Fame there are pictures of events with players that were not included in the Hall. Joe Carter's homerun is definitely LOE for Blue Jays history.
  24. Yeah I'd say he's been the story of this spring.
  25. After next year Lopez is out of options so would have to make the team or be lost. I thought this might be a good year to work him in and be demoteable when we need a 3rd catcher or something. I don't have a lot of faith in Jansen being available for 162 games.
