  1. I would rather not eat some of buehrles salary because i think him and dickey will put up simaler numbers
  2. I think he would be alot harder to trade.
  3. I would rather see it go towards a free agent pitcher (Kuroda or Halladay)
  4. Dickey has not been a reliable pitcher, he has been very inconsistent. If that 12 million could be freed up, it would be huge
  5. I think you misunderstood what i was trying to say. I would never expect for all that to happen i would just love to see that happen. If we could unload melkys and linds salaries, we could have alot more flexibility going forward into free agency.
  6. Another offseason plan i would be up for: Trade Melky, Arencibia, Dickey, Lind and Boni for what you can get Trade Bautista for Wong and Taveras Sign Halladay, Kuroda/Garza, Mclouth, McCann/Ruiz and Hart That leaves you with: C:McCann 1B:Encarnacion 2B:Wong 3B:Lawrie SS:Reyes LF:Mclouth CF:Rasmus RF:Taveras DH:Hart BN:Pillar BN:Kawasaki BN:Izturis BN:Thole SP:Morrow SP:Kuroda SP:Halladay SP:Buehrle SP:Hutchison Same Bullpen
  7. Obviously the chances of that are slim to none. I couldn't even see AA doing that because he is so ignorant to the fact that Bautista will never put up the numbers he did in 2011 and will just decline
  8. Forgot about Craig. They Definitely could have interest in Bautista if Beltran walks in free agency. Bautista for Taveras and Wong?
  9. I would definitely do Bautista and Edwin for Taveras, Wong and Miller
  10. Not just them, definitely more. I wonder if we could pry miller away from them
  11. I am playing armchair GM, this is just what i would do. Its sad that the GM wouldnt do whats bestfor the team
  12. Say the trade i suggested were to happen, that would free you up lots of money to go and sign McCann for say 13 million per for 4 years. You still have 14 million to go and spend on pitchers and what not. Id target Halladay and Garza or Kuroda. Yes that would cost more, but our payroll is gonna have to be a bit larger than 140 million for us to have a chance to compete.
  13. Why are people comfortable with having a career back up catcher starting for us? Sure he is great defensively but he is an offensive liability and so is Ryan. Thats basically giving aways at least 6 outs a game. I would love to see a trade which would see the Cardinals acquire Bautista, Edwin for Taveras and Wong. We get better up the middle and much younger while unloading money that can be used to upgrade our pitching staff
  14. Yes, but they couldn't get anything done at the deadline so i think they will really push now that the news is out
  15. Gonna be interesting to see what the texas rangers try to do within the next couple of weeks. If the Jays would smart they would trade Bautista to them now for a huge haul.
  16. He seems stubborn. He has one of the worst swings i have ever seen and i dont think the coaches are preaching a swing like that to him. He has had 3 years to fix it and it isn't working.
  17. If I was GM: -Bautista, Encarnacion, Janssen and Bonifacio to STL for Wong, Taveras, and Miller -Trade Lind, Santos, Arencibia, and Dickey -Sign Halladay (2 Years, 16 Mil, build arm strength with weighted ball program), Pence (3 Years, 36 Mil), Corey Hart (1 Year, 7 Mil) C-Jimenez 1B-Hart 2B-Wong 3B-Lawrie SS-Reyes LF-Rasmus CF-Taveras RF-Pence DH-Cabrera BN-Thole © BN-Kawasaki (2B/SS) BN-Izturis (INF) BN-Pillar (OF) SP 1-Miller SP 2-Morrow SP 3-Halladay SP 4-Buehrle SP 5-Hutchison Extra SP: Happ, Drabek, Rogers CL- Delabar SU-Cecil MRP-McGowan MRP-Loup MRP-Drabek MRP-Rogers MRP-Lincoln LRP-Happ Trading with STL makes us younger, strengthens our starting rotation and improves our team in the long run. It would definitely be a long shot but i would love to see it happen. Also, This offseason i would get every pitcher on the weighted ball program as could help cut down on the injuries by giving our pitchers better arm strength.
  18. Not going to lie, i actually like these moves but do the Cards actually do that deal? Craig is a straight up stud and with his controllability and youth, i could not see the cards moving him. And would you really take the risk of trying Rosenthal as a starter? Does he have the arm strength to throw 100 pitches every 5 days. He has an electric arm but i couldn't see it holding up. Not a fan of signing Choo due to the amount of money he will want and length of term.
  19. Your right, kawasaki should be playing over reyes
  20. How? Do you know how many GG Beltran has had. I know he is older now but he can still cover decent ground. I don't get why people think Bautista is a bad outfielder. He has average range but a plus arm. That makes him an above average outfielder
  21. I know beltran is older but i could see them moving him to center to make room
  22. I meant in a package with bautista not just bautista for Taveras****** and Kolten**** Wong
