Based on the interviews with Pillar, this is all on Donaldson.
He complained to the team that he has been getting pitched inside for the past month or so, and this all boiled over tonight.
Thanks, JD
Well we know that Jose Fernandez owned that boat.
The families/friends of those other two that died would probably know if those two could drive a boat themselves.
If it turns out they don't know how to, then Fernandez would be the one behind the wheel.
Donaldson and Gibby aren't the one pitching on the mound.
Happ could've just sucked it up and said that pitching healthy and competitively into the post season is more important than retaliating.
Or if he had to send a message, just throw a pitch to the back stop and leave it at that (but he instead went and hit him for a 2nd attempt)
I hope the injuries to these two will make someone in the clubhouse or the front office rip this team privately for being so selfish. We already know Shapiro isn't too happy, but I doubt the players will care what he will have to say. It would take a player (such as Tulo) to rip these guys.

"Two of Travis’ teammates, in separate conversations with TSN.ca, confided it was their belief that he was hurt during the melee."
Thanks, Happ.
So based on the instagram post from the friend of the friend, Jose was pretty mad about something and his friend was going to help him cool down.
You must wonder if he went out boating while drunk (they were at a club)
Red Sox are a superior team all around. Insane hitting, pitching has been stellar lately. And the bullpen is unreal. No way this team is ready to face them in any means
