This is a good case where record doesn't show the true talent of the team. Like, compare the Tigers and the Jays. Last week at some point they were both at .500, but the Tigers were strongly considering to sell while the Jays were more than likely to be buyers. That's because it seems the Jays have been incredibly unlucky, as pointed by the run differential, so adding a big pitching piece can turn the favor for the Jays.
Remember that the Royals were a .500 team last year and they made the big push into Game 7. I think the Jays can make a similar push, only this time I think we could also compete for the AL East considering how many games we have against the Yankees. We just need better pitching.
