    Not really. We knew going in that we had Stroman, Buehrle, Dickey and Hutchison. Sure you could have made an argument that we could have got a pitcher for the last slot, but everyone felt that Norris could have made the jump. We also could have used Estrada. Why waste FA dollars when you had serviceable and cheaper 5th starter options? Right now our rotation sucks not because we are missing that one piece, but because Stroman got injured and Dickey and Hutchison have completely s*** the bed.

    it's a proposed trade from Mark DeRosa. Not sure why it's called Dero Demo. Maybe he's suggesting trades that would be destructive to teams?

    This is a good case where record doesn't show the true talent of the team. Like, compare the Tigers and the Jays. Last week at some point they were both at .500, but the Tigers were strongly considering to sell while the Jays were more than likely to be buyers. That's because it seems the Jays have been incredibly unlucky, as pointed by the run differential, so adding a big pitching piece can turn the favor for the Jays. Remember that the Royals were a .500 team last year and they made the big push into Game 7. I think the Jays can make a similar push, only this time I think we could also compete for the AL East considering how many games we have against the Yankees. We just need better pitching.

    If I were in the Jays FO and I knew that Beeston/Rogers are getting deals hamstrung cause of money, I would want to leak these details to the press so that the fans and players understand why nothing is happening.
