    I can understand offering Zobrist a lot more money than usual, considering his versatlity and production with the bat. However, $20m is an absurd amount.

    Seems like intentionally lying about offers is the new "mystery team" tactic Whatever happened to Samardz and his $100 million offer? Oh yeah, all smoke. If Zobrist were offered $20m a year he would've taken it by now.

    Stroman still has to prove he can pitch like an ace or #2, and with that entails being able to pitch over 200 innings. So far we know Stoman can pitch deep into games considerably his arsenal.

    well karma is a bitch. We were able to take advantage of two guys we got for cheap, signed for cheap and produced at elite levels.

    if I were the Dodgers I would have made a preliminary trade for Chapman, but then leaked the report to the media and tried a lowball offer.

    Having Hanley play in LF most certainly ruined the pitching lines of many Red Sox pitchers

    They already both gave a discount. Bautista's was a bit more reasonable, considering he had one great year. But Edwin for some reason took a very undermarket deal. He deserves to be paid.

    He'd broken quite a few deals in the past, some small. His biggest one (also his first) was Butler signing.
