  1. hip hop festival held annually in Toronto by Drake.
  2. it was some sort of charity event for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Devo/Goins/Stroman went to see OVO fest afterwards too. Estrada ended up going to WWE raw
  3. taylor cole played during the montreal exhibitions a few years ago right?
  4. Top heavy is very risky
  5. lol there's a draw now? that's ********
  6. Really impressed with the plate discipline. Not necessarily because he is young, but we all know of Vlad's desire to be called up as soon as possible. If you're young and desperate you'd probably do too much and swing for the fences all the time. But nope - this kid is doing what he's always been doing and doesn't mind taking the walk rather than the XBH.
  7. I'm pretty sure he passed the eye test for luck long ago
  8. never saw this before, pretty cool
  9. We'd have to overpay for Otani. The big teams will all make a play and we'd have to give him a reason to come to Toronto. I bet he doesn't even know this city exists.
  10. He'll be back in time for playoffs iirc
  11. eh anything can happen. Phillies had like 3 aces and they only had 1 championship during that dynasty
  12. Darvish gone to Dodgers
  13. Tim Beckham to Orioles
  14. So we give Smith up for peanuts and a feel good story but we don't do the same with Estrada? I guess we don't have anyone to replace him for the remainder of the season. Otherwise, why is he still here?
  15. You guys should be extremely thrilled by this acquisition - as long as his injury isn't going to hamper him, Smith is going to be nails.
  16. Kind of weird how our best reliever aside from Osuna nets nothing.
  17. 30 minutes to trade Happ/Estrada

  20. good chance we see him as a Septemberino?
  21. # 9 on prospects list http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2017?list=hou I'm happy now " Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 50 | Run: 60 | Arm: 55 | Field: 55 | Overall: 50 A bargain signing for $20,000 out of the Dominican Republic in 2011, Hernandez swiftly established himself as one of the best all-around athletes in the Astros' system. His prospect stock took a huge hit after he hit .219/.275/.362 in Double-A in '15, but he made adjustments last year, batting .307/.377/.459 in the upper Minors and making his big league debut. He homered three times in his first nine starts for Houston before cooling off down the stretch. Hernandez sparked his turnaround by toning down an overly aggressive approach and improving his ability to recognize pitches. While he can make further improvements in both regards, he's doing a better job of making consistent contact (cutting his strikeout rate from 25 percent in '15 to 18 percent last year) and tapping into his solid raw power from the right side of the plate. He has started to wait for pitches to drive, and he draws a decent amount of walks rather than getting himself out with impatience. Hernandez has plus speed and knows how to use it on the bases, making him a potential 20-20 threat. His quickness doesn't play as well in the outfield, where his instincts remain somewhat raw. He's a competent center fielder and more of an asset in right field, where he has a strong arm and saw most of his action in 2016."
